Looks nice, not sure if it makes a difference.
I ordered this on a whim to see if it would help my car stereo any, either with lowering the noise floor or helping with punchier bass. I can't say that I noticed any difference one way or the other, but it does look neat next to my amplifier. I was a little skeptical about ordering this particular capacitor since it is a rebranded generic item (you'll see this exact cap under many different names if you search), and some youtube teardowns of similar items revealed that they are mostly hollow and just filled with a resin/tar to add heft. That is certainly the case here. If you tap on the cylinder you can tell that it is hollow until you get the the last couple of inches at the bottom.Whatever the case, it looks neat and at least doesn't negatively impact my stereo. If you're looking for a cheap way to bling-up your car stereo's rizz, this'll do!

Really helps with the bass
I have a 24 year old car and the power isn't what it used to be. I run a 800 watt sub and I find that it's not always as loud as it's supposed to be at certain parts of the song so I got this to install. It fixed the issue entirely and my music sounds like it's supposed to without the types of "bass drops" that would be ruined by the soft underwhelming power it would have when my amps demanded more power than could go to them. I highly recommend this guy as he's a good price and I like the display. I do wish the display could be turned off with a switch or something though.

Just a good, simple capacitor...
I think this is a great affordable capacitor. If you don't mind the less than beautiful shell this thing lives in, you should be happy with it. If you plan to run anything up to 1000 watts of raw power, you'll need one of these. There's charts available to find what it you need, and if you're here looking at these, you likely already know what you're doing. This comes with a mount so you can mount it right next to your amp. The electronics look clean, though I wouldn't describe them as the highest quality components. I will be applying decals to sort of clean up the body and hopefully I can form a system I can be proud of. What gives this average device a solid 5 stars is it's amazing price (which also currently includes a coupon to boot). If I have any issues with longevity or performance issues I will be sure to update this immediately. Overall I am very happy with it.

Works.
Works but wish it had a remote wire hookup. Not sure if it's gonna drain my battery being on constantly. Was like advertised installed easily and fixed the dimming in the car lights when subs hit. Not bad overall just lacks the remote wire hookup. Quality other than that is good and not a bad value.

Awesome cap
This is an awesome deal for a 1 farad cap. I remember when these were over a hundred bucks without a power display. This thing is almost a third of that so it's amazing. The size of my system now i can't tell it makes a huge difference but nice to know the extra power is there. Build quality is great and looks great. Overall, great buy.

Completely eliminated unwanted noise.
I have done a lot of things in my car to eliminate any unwanted noise coming through the audio system. The only sound I had left you could only hear with the windows rolled up and the volume turned down, and if you were accelerating you could hear a slight wine, and sometimes you could hear the turn signal. After installing this, there is absolutely no sound whatsoever! Then after doing a little bit of research, those caps are actually recommended for that. Did it fix my voltage drop? No, not really, but the bass does sound better when it hits, like it has more oomph behind it. I really need to have an upgraded battery or a high output alternator, I was trying to do an audio system on the budget and keep the stock charging system. I did do a big three upgrade which actually did more than I thought it would, but I'm still running the stock 125 amp alternator, and the stock battery. I don't run my system full tilt a lot, there was just a particular sound I was going for and I was able to achieve that, but at full tilt I do draw too much amperage. I wish the cap came with better instructions, the instructions are kind of on the vague side. You do need the charge the cap with supplied resistor, I got my Cap where I wanted it, hooked up the ground had the positive terminal ready to go, and the resistor goes between the cable and the positive connection on the cap, once you get to 9 volts, you can hook the wire directly to the cap. It probably took less than a minute to be honest with you. They do talk about a remote wire in the manual, but there is no place to hook a remote wire, but it doesn't need it either. When you start your vehicle the cap will come on, then after you turn the vehicle off it takes about a minute or so, and then the digital display will shut off. If you want to run this as a filter for your audio system, you would install the cap right before your power distribution block, you want to do it before the fuses, and it will filter out all that unwanted noise from the alternator, the ignition coils, the blinkers, windshield wipers, it takes care of all that. But it is mounted in my car permanently for the moment, it will be tested every day, and if anything changes I will update my review. If you have any specific questions ask them in the question answer section, and as long as I get the notification, I will do my best to answer your questions.
