It eats up apples… 3-4x faster than cutting and grinding. Made 80 gallon of cider last season with it. Nice machine.

Well made and actually works as advertised. Which is what you really want in this sort of appliance. The crank devices are toys, and not really usable if you have a lot of apples. This electric model is sturdy, can be attached to a table for stability, and crushes all but the largest apples. It also increases the level of juice you get over the hand cranked systems when used with a hydraulic water press - almost double.

Just got this first crusher and out of the box the electrical box has multiple cracks. Looks like due to over tightening the screws. It does run so looking forward to making some cider.

The media could not be loaded. We just used this to go through 600lbs of apples today. It didn't overheat and worked like a charm. It's nice and portable compared to other taller models. had a cleaning question and the owners got back to me immediately. Would highly recommend. Video demonstrates ease of use and photo shows result.

What started out as a sweet experience with this Apple crusher… turned sour in a hurry. This machine was awesome for about an hour. Exactly what I was hoping for. We filled the cider press basket in just a few minutes. We were just crushing the apples for the second basket and the machine started making a terrible noise. We shut it off and pulled the front off to check for anything that might have gotten stuck in grinder but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Reassembled and started again… same noise. My son turned on the crusher and looked down the fill tube. He said it looked like the blade might be warped and made a comment about cheap pot metal. The apples we were crushing were larger than a golf ball, smaller than a tennis ball and we were only feeding the machine 2 or 3 apples at a time. If this was enough to warp the blade I definitely need a different machine. This could be a fluke as this machine seems heavy duty and well built. I was hoping to get a replacement but that was not offered or available. I am returning the machine for a refund as this was a very expensive purchase. We had been picking apples for several hours the day before we started the cider process and I still have 10 of the 5 gallon buckets full of apples to be crushed. The small amount of cider we did get is delicious so I need to get a new crusher. Buyer beware…

I used this crusher to crush apples for apple cider and it breezed through the process. It crushed them into small chunks that gave me a very high yield. I can see this being useful for potatoes and other vegetables you would like to shred/finely chop.

Grinds whole apples effortlessly and quickly. We attached to plywood base (not supplied with order) so that we could set this on top of the juicer/filter 5 gallon container. Extremely well made, heavy duty, (and heavy)
