Energy efficiency is noticeably better than my old door. I live in Oklahoma and we are in the midst of the hot Oklahoma summer - this door is much more efficient than previous ones. Sturdy for multiple dogs: I have 3 dogs and they will run out this door at full speed (cuz squirrels are trying to take over our yard!) - the frame doesn't flex or wobble—even after the constant in and out use of my energetic dogs. Easy DIY install: Was able to install in under an house. Extra security: The metal closing panel with lock gives peace of mind when we’re out—excellent for safety and convenience. Installation doesn’t include external sealant or flashing, so I added my own weatherproofing to get the perfect tight seal. I recently installed the Eillion Medium Dog Door with the aluminum frame, and overall I’m very happy with it. The installation was straightforward — the instructions were clear and the pieces fit together without much trouble, so I had it mounted in under an hour. I especially appreciate the three-flap design: it seems to do a better job keeping out wind and rain than single- or double-flap doors. My dog moves through it easily, and the flaps close well after she passes. One thing to note is that there was a large gap around the frame when I first installed it, so I added extra weatherstripping to seal it. After that fix, the door kept the cold and drafts out much better. I’d recommend this product to anyone who wants an effective, easy-to-install dog door and is willing to add a little extra weatherproofing if needed.

Great product, great design. I bought this to replace my previous door. It was a popular brand with a plastic frame. My dogs destroyed the plastic frame when they were locked outside and wanted to get in. This door has a metal frame and a metal flap cover that can be applied to the inside or the outside. This door should hold up to my dogs' protests to being locked out. It seems very sturdy and well-built and was easy to install. I will update if it doesn't hold up, but for now, I'm very happy with it.

It seemed really nice, I like the metal frame, but I’ve had it around a year or less and the outside flap fell off :( the inner part that holds the screws in broke, so there’s no way to fix it

Great unit for larger dogs. I have a 96lb bernedoodle and he has no problem getting through this door. Installation was simple with great instructions and an accurate cutting diagram included. Triple flaps are nice and they keep the weather and bugs out.
