Was it soaked in sugar syrup before packing?
The Goji berries seem to have been put in some sugar syrup before packing. The berries were clumped together and there was a distinct sweet taste to it. I feed that this should not have been the case as it takes away the nutrient value of the berries while adding to the sugar content - this is not desirable. I will be very happy if Urban Platter responds to this query clarifying the issue since I want to buy these regularly.

Healthy Honi Berry
I am using urban platter products from last 4 years. I used their Prunes they were excellent in taste. I ordered Dried Goji Berry first time. As these are dehydrated so taste is not according to everyone liking. Secondly and most important This is completely normal, goji berries are naturally red-orange in color due to an antioxidant known as beta-carotene. When they are soaked in water they give off a light red color because of the mentioned antioxidant.
