Best hamster accommodation ever. Very sturdy and easy to clean. Took 2 of us to put it together. I love the split lid as it’s easy to put things in without lifting a heavy lid. The front door is perfect for interaction too. Plenty of space. My hamster has never been so active.

My rescue hamster has been living in this enclosure for just over a month and he seems to be very happy in it. The first one I bought arrived damaged, with a crack in the base, but thankfully the second one was okay. Assembly was a little frustrating but I would say it’s worth it for the end result. Most rescues now tend to prefer barless enclosures of at least 100x50cm with a deep layer of substrate and lots of enrichment, which are all easily achieved with this. I like that it’s made of metal rather than wood, so it can’t be chewed and it’s easy to clean. I also really like how you have access at the top as well as the door at the front, which my little one climbs out of and onto my hands every night for playpen time. We did find it bowed in the middle very slightly once I’d filled it with everything that needed to go in, but there are two metal support bars at the bottom so I don’t think this will get any worse. It has a nice appearance and if you can afford it then I do think it’s worth the money. I looked at a lot of different enclosures before settling on this one and I think I made the right choice.

I have been using the 2.0 Bucatstate enclosure and I have definitely noticed improvements with this new 3.0 enclosure. Firstly I really appreciate that they now offer a larger size suitable for syrian hamsters. This enclosure feels better quality than the 2.0 enclosure, it has thicker acrylic that isn't as flimsy and doesn't bend as much once you put the bedding inside. My previous 2.0 enclosure arrived with a few scratches on the inside of the metal, but they have changed the metal on the 3.0 enclosure to more of a matt texture and it arrived without any scratches.They have also added steel reinforcements to the bottom of the enclosure to prevent it from caving in under the weight of any bedding or cage accessories. One thing I will say is make sure you tighten these before adding any bedding in the enclosure.The biggest difference between the 2.0 and the 3.0 enclosure is they've added rubber to all of the acrylic side panels, and also in the base and the lid. This makes the whole enclosure a lot more sturdy and stops it rattling around as much, and shock absorbs any movement. The only reason this doesn't get a 5 star review from me is because the addition of these pieces does make it more difficult to put together. It is definitely a two person job, to be able to line the acrylic side panels up with the holes, otherwise the rubber pieces get stuck and peel off. Also do not skip the step on the instructions that tells you to use the spare piece of acrylic the enclosure comes with and wiggle this into the rubber on the base and the top lid of the enclosure to make room for the acrylic to slot in. I skipped this step and created more work for myself when the rubber pieces bent and made it more difficult for the lid to fit on the enclosure. Once this was rectified the whole enclosure now feels very good quality and sturdy. Despite the high price point, I do think this enclosure is a good investment for someone who wants a large, sturdy enclosure with great front door access to their small pets.

This is hands-down the best hamster cage I’ve ever owned. It’s super spacious, well-designed, and actually looks good in my room (which is saying a lot for a hamster setup). My little fluff ball has tons of room to run, burrow, and explore—total upgrade from the cramped cages at most pet stores.One piece did arrive cracked, which was a bummer at first—but Bucatstate’s customer service was amazing. I reached out and they responded quickly, sending a replacement part without any hassle. Huge bonus points for that.Assembly was pretty straightforward, ventilation is great, and cleaning is way easier than I expected. If you want to treat your hamster right, this is absolutely worth it.

This has got the be the best hamster cage I have ever seen. Big and spacious, tall enough so add the right amount of depth to your bedding. Fully contained so no bars which is much safer. The duel lid is perfect for cleaning. The rubber strips hold the Perspex in place so no noise. Extremely sturdy and well made. Great value for money. I can’t rate this cage highly enough. Would never use anything else. My cheddar loves it ☺️ ignore the reflection on the perspex in the second picture it’s from my bed post.

The media could not be loaded. I've always wanted a bucatsate enclosure for my little bean, I just had to save up a lot for it! It's 100% worth the money. Very sturdy, easy to assemble, its not squeaky or clangy like some metals are, the look is very sleek. It's very easy to retrieve my hamster either from the front or the top of the enclosure. It also makes it super easy for cleaning too!

Lovely looking enclosure for our future hamster, however, whilst building it seems simple enough, the rubber seals are what makes it harder to put together. Took a few attempts of using the perspex to wiggle it and line up the panels to make it slot in which was a rather frustrating process, as you have to have it perfectly aligned in order for the front opening to open and close and be able to lock it with ease.Once put together it's very stable, the panels don't rattle and it looks great. I'm overall happy with the purchase and I'm sure our hamster will love it too.I must say though that the front panel had a mark inside of the glass which was very noticeable below the front opening, and a side panel had a scratch down the side. It doesn't affect it's functionality but considering how much this costs was disappointing. I contacted Bucastate direct and they offered a partial refund due to this. Their customer service was great, I can't fault them for that.
