Q: Are they easy to get off without damaging your computer?

No, they are not. And it is not a warning about that. I tried to reposition one, and totally damaged the monitor's screen.

Q: Does this work for curved monitors? Can this be used without sticking to monitor?

The acrylic is straight, it would not adhere properly to a curved monitor. How would it stay on if you didn’t use the sticky? THe whole purpose is adding extra space to the monitor by sticking the acrylic sheets on it.
