It's ok
Took a very long time to ship for a prime item, but it works ok. A decent small lightweight radio. I wish the clip came installed on it because it was a pain to do myself with those tiny screws, but for the price it's ok.

Corrections to some false statements
Corrections to published details are in order. First there is the obvious error in stating that these are 5 Watts transmit power. When you get your radio and read the manual, look at the manufacturer's label under the battery or go to any of the web sites (Baoffeng bf888s, Retevi h777, Pofung 888s, all the same radios) you will find that the transmit power specification is ' 5W which literally means "less than or equal to 5 watts," NOT 5 watts!. That is a totally non-committal specification. It could be 500mw, 1w, 2w or anything they want at or below 5 watts, to be within spec. One could say that these are ' 100,000 Watts and be just as accurate. It's like "On Sale for UP TO 50% off. That simply means anything less than 50%. 0% is "up to 50% off." Actual output power on High is measurable at 2 watts at best, more closely 1.8 watts measured at the antenna connector with the factory antenna. This is about what you get out of a standard GMRS blister pack GMRS/FRS radio. So I tested the range of this radio compared to 2 blister pack (Midland and Motorola 2 watt and 1 watt) GMRS/FRS radios in a rural area of single story buildings. All three yielded about 3/4 mile. The only difference was that the BF888s/H777 had much clearer voice until it was lost and batteries last MUCH longer. Batteries are Li-ion which means they lose almost no power (1.5% - 2% per month) just sitting there unused for months compared to the ni-cads in most radios which lose 10% = 20% per month without being used. The next absolutely false statement by some is that these are legal to use in the US right out of the box. NOT!!!. Most of the channels are programed for Licensed Business use and GMRS frequencies all of which require a license to transmit on at this power. Just look it up on FCC.gov. In addition channels 10 and 11 are programmed for Medical Use only frequencies. Channel 10 is programmed for the base station of Medflight in my local area. Channel 15 is programmed for a Police ONLY frequency, the exact same frequency my local police department uses for dispatch. If you want to verify any frequency conflicts in your area go to radioreference dot com and look them up for your county.I don't think you want to be caught jamming your police radio frequencies or medical emergency channels either. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK AND HAVE A CONSCIENCE!!!!!Low power is greater than 500mw so these cannot be programmed in any way to be used without a FCC license even on FRS channels. Even GMRS requires a $90 (for a family for 5 years) for a license.Just be aware of what you buy and what can happen if you go by the old adage "Ignorance is Bliss." Especially if you get hit with a 5 digit fine by the FCC or are responsible for someone not getting emergency services. Don't think that the police will not trace down someone interfering with their dispatch channels!!!Sellers of Retevis ell you that these are somehow improved compared to the Baofeng/Pofung model BF888s. I have both the Retevis and Baofeng models and have disassembled them. Other than labels these are identical in every functional way. Good or bad these are just rebranded Baofeng (Pofung) BF888s radios. Nothing wrong with that. Just that they are no different technically.Other details are pretty much covered in other reviews. These are pretty good solid radios which are NOT FCC Type accepted.

Great radio, I use it for work and it's awesome, I even get reception at my house which is around a mile away, it's very nice to have and is very nice, my job went out and bought 6 of these for everyone to use after a day of trying them, we or I do not regret this at all

Great Little WT
Use these at work but wanted to have my own. Works perfectly and I can take it home, clean it and recharge it. Not big on sharing ear pieces (even though they get cleaned) so this solves that problem. They seem to work well but do get abused with so many people using them. I feel they are reasonably priced.
