Bandai Hobby Plastic Hguc Rx-78-2 Gundam Revive "Gundam Seed" Model Kit, 1:144 Scale (Multicolour)

NOTE: The pictures included were captured AFTER Panel Lining and some degree of colour correction. The straight out of box kit will not have black panel lines (and the kit does not include a display stand like shown in the picture) Pros: decent articulation, great weapon choices, relatively straightforward build Cons: Minimal colour separation, stickers look ugly. Definitely overpriced (but considering that it’s shipped from Japan, it kinda makes sense) Would recommend it for anyone new to gunpla or plastic model kit building hobby in general.

Good for beginners

The kit is very cool! However , when assembling it , the arms and legs are a bit hard. but do not fret ! It is pretty easy! Looks are 10/10. Posing is pretty good though it is small. A great beginner Gunpla!

It's pretty awesome , took me around 3 hours to build . The only tool I needed was nippers . It won't stand well on its own , probably gonna need a stand . I haven't applied the stickers yet cause they are soo small it's crazy . Overall 5/5 , Small tip - use nail polish on loose joints

This was my first gunpla and i highly recommend it to the specially to a beginner as RX-78-2 REVIVE version of grand daddy gundam offers almost all the experience in a small package consisting a great collection of weapons and many manipulator (hands) to choose from and is great in an overall experience, the kit is a bit pricey compared to its actual msrp in japan but still great if u cant it from there itself. It stands almost 6 inches tall which is usually the size for a high grade kit.

After watching many youtube Gunpla builds thought I'd give a try haven't seen the series but there's aesthetically pleasing about RX-78-2 Gundam so had to choose it and also its easy on the bank! Thanks to the Seller! 5/5 stars

Along with the RX-77 Guncannon Revive the RX-78-2 Revive is one of absolute best kits for anybody who wanting to get into gunpla. This is fitting of course, as this is the grandaddy of all Gundams (at least when it comes to its introduction to viewers in 1979, there were obviously other prototype models before it within the UC cannon). It's a simple but satisfying build, that of course looks great with some quick panel lining, but still awesome on its own. The proportions are closer to its appearance in the 0079 series, which may not satisfy all, but it's hard to deny that it looks appropriately sleek but also powerful. It's a "mobile" suit of course, so it should be mobile, and it absolutely is. the amount of articulation and range of motion is absolutely astonishing for such an inexpensive kit, and it looks great in any position. It comes with a fantastic array of weapons (No Gundam hammer though sadly), and only requires the absolute minimum of of painting to look 100% accurate to the professional build on the box. In conclusion: It may not thrill veteran builders, but it's still a great kit overall, and it's cheap enough to do some great custom paint jobs and modding if you're so inclined. Buy it!

For reference, I have only ever built two gundams as a small child and struggled heavily with them. Now as an adult, I wanted to try my hand at building a kit and chose the RX-78-2 - the "grand-daddy" of gundams. The kit was very easy and accessible to a gundam newbie like me - instructions are very clear and simple, while precision sticker application was minimal, and most parts were easy to take out of the frame and assemble. Almost like a LEGO set.
