This Visio smart TV is a winner! We needed a medium-size TV for our guest bedroom... but didn't want to spend a bunch for a set that would be watched only occasionally. This Visio 40" smart TV has a beautiful HD picture with images that pop. It has all the technology and bells and whistles most folks could possibly want. Wall mounting and setup is a snap with no unpleasant surprises. The remote is terrific and intuitive. We couldn't be more pleased with the picture, the features, the appearance, and the price of this excellent Visio smart TV.For decades, we have purchased only top-quality and super reliable Sony televisions. We currently own two new very large Sony TVs and are totally satisfied with their performance. When shopping for a smaller TV for our guest room, we were surprised at the spendy $500 price for the Sony. A bit of online research offered this great 40" Visio for only $138. The decision to buy was a no-brainer.After viewing this new Visio for some time, we compared it with our Sony TVs. The picture quality, the smart TV features, and the design & build of the Visio is truly at a quality level comparable to our favorite Sonys -- and at a genuine bargain price. Set up is easy and picture quality is very good so far. One complaint voiced by others is the screws for the leg attachments do not screw in properly and it takes a good deal of effort to get a tight fit. Also note the screw heads are small and you will need a very small screw driver to fit properly.In addition the included smart apps included you can also easily use Apple play to stream a full array of apps using your iPhone or iPad. It’s also compatible with Roku if apple play is not an option. Sound is decent for a built in system Haven’t used the headset feature but nice that it’s there when you want quiet for those around you. A good value for size.

Television arrived in perfect condition, even though it was shipped only in its manufactured box. The picture is a beautiful 1080 though capable of 4K. Set up was easy and straight forward; though it was a downer to have to sign up for another service just to access the features of the TV. Thankfully it is a free service. Capable of all standard streaming services and some not available on Amazon, Apple or Firestick televisions. The sound quality is all that I have issues with on this TV. It’s a bit muddied compared to my old television. Though you do get what you invest with this one. Picture over sound is the clear motive to keep the TV’s price fare with its large 40” screen. There also seems to be a bit of lag when shuffling three the screens with the remote, but nothing too bad.
