Good quality matcha with a nice flavor
Good quality matcha with a nice flavor. Although I usually prefer ceremonial grade matcha, I decided to try this one because it received good reviews and was reasonably priced. The first thing I noticed was its vibrant shade of green, which is characteristic of ceremonial grade matcha. It frothed nicely, indicating its quality, and the taste was pleasantly smooth, without the bitterness often found in cheaper matchas. I believe it is definitely worth the price. It provides me with clean energy without the crashes, and I enjoy incorporating it into my daily routine, alternating with my ceremonial grade matcha.

Good value! - Make nice Latte
My matcha teacher was a Japanese Blend Master! 😆 So I’m experience but I’m a traditional drinker who still trying to fit the terms “culinary - ceremonial” to my existing Japanese’s grade scale (and, yikes get use to the new prices 😱😭). Matcha used to be my summer fling—my espresso machine + AC = breaker trips. Now it’s fully replaced coffee. ☕➡️🍵 Mornings = thick usucha (1g/15–20ml) with an ice cube halfway. Afternoons = lattes or mixers: coconut water, lemonade, berries…whatever. TOMOSAN matcha = sharp, light, bitter & astringent, low on umami & sweetness, with just a hint of nuttiness—but FRAGRANT, CREAMY, and AFFORDABLE 😆. Whisks easily in either hot (160-175F) or cold water (70–90°F), perfect in lattes or mixed drinks where the edges soften but not in clear or Americano. The yellowish color (picture) & almost no sweetness = probably not first harvest (maybe last year’s summer harvest?), OR maybe near-expiration. It arrived 8/21/25 with expiration 11/28/25. It seems low caffeine to me = perfect late-day fix. I subscribed for its value, next delivery I set it after 11/28/25. Stay tuned for round two!

High quality, pesticide free, amazing flavor
I definitely did my research before buying Matcha powder since I’m trying to conceive and cutting out everything toxic that I possibly can. This matcha powder comes from a trustworthy business in Japan so I know it’s actually organic and safe to consume! Matcha has so many benefits and this powder provides it! It also tastes SUPER good (especially when you add a bit of honey to sweeten it). I’ve been using this powder to make my own matcha lattes everyday and they are so delicious! The caffeine in matcha is processed differently so you don’t get a spike and crash, more of a slow burn. Would 10/10 recommend this!!!

Definitely culinary grade
This matcha is very bitter, not as green as ippodo sayaka. Also it’s something for the price.

It’s a great matcha, recommend it
I ordered ceremonial grade before, but I like this one better and better price also! I love the fragrance of it. It tastes great, doesn’t taste bitter at all. I see the green color not that much different than ceremonial grade. I recommend it for you to try it. Only one thing I keep searching for this product it’s about lead and radiation test. It would be great if they have these test. Anyway they said it’s organic, so I’m ok with it

Bad quality matcha
The color straight out of the bag was a red flag. It was a yellow green color, which tells me it’s old or lower quality. The taste was bitter, even after putting in milk. I wouldn’t buy this again.

It's ok
It's ok tasting for a culinary matcha, I ordered it because when you have the option to ask questions the response was this was a ceremonial grade and it is not but it's ok for my afternoon matcha.
