I ordered the Cosmedica Skincare 5% Lactic Acid Treatment + Hylasin - AHA, Hyaluronic Acid, Gentle Exfoliator Dark Spot Corrector, Anti-Aging, Face Peel Brightening Treatment for Dull Hyperpigmented Skin, and I can tell immediately that it works. I do very intensive products to remove sunspots and other imperfections including prescriptions, so I use some of the strongest things out there. I am just using this in conjunction with the daily products I use as well as different chemical peels. I wouldn't recommend that for somebody starting out. It took me a very long time to build my skin up to handle things since it's incredibly sensitive. If I stopped for months, I'd have to start from scratch and slowly again building up to different potencies. Just after a few days of adding this item in I could tell it was doing what it was supposed to do as I needed to moisturize and exfoliate more. I exfoliate twice a day and use all these types of products that I mentioned, so I see results within the first week. However, anytime you are using these type of things you need to give your skin 30 days to completely turn over otherwise you may be disappointed. That's the typical timeframe to wait and give your skin a chance to fully turn over. Taking before and after pictures in the same lighting is very helpful, but you'll definitely notice a difference after 30 days if a product is helping for something like this Also, I noticed sometimes my sun thoughts get darker at first and then they eventually start getting lighter and that's common. So, I mix this in with my other products every day, and I started noticing improvement just in a few days and my skin really likes combining this with my other products. It's a watery mixture which I expected. I do notice extra moisture as well and have that dewy look after using it, but I equally noticed when adding it to everything else the next day I have to exfoliate more as my skin purges faster. But I wouldn't say my skin feels excessively dry, but acids aim to remove your top layers of skin so drying isn't negative. I use a large amount of hyaluronic acid moisturizer types to help counteract excessive drying with the products I use. That's been a game changer for me so I can use my products daily. Because my skin is so used to this kind of heavy work, I didn't notice any negative things. I do not know how effective this is using it alone. Make sure you always use a sunscreen when you use products like this or avoid the sun. Your protective layers get removed from your face and can't properly protect you. It also can bring back all the sun spots that we may have taken months to get rid of just like that or harm your skin. I no longer go in the sun unless I'm slathered in sunscreen because I don't want all my spots coming right back nor do I want to damage my skin because I'm using products that remove my protective layers so my skin is extremely vulnerable.

i actually used this in combination with 2 other dark spot corrector skin serums and also a leave on spot treatment and in a week my skin looked brighter and more radiant, my spots were lighter as well but it takes time and patience

This is a very gentle, exfoliating treatment, that feels nice on my skin. I have aging combination skin, and I am always looking for things to help with cell turnover, to brighten my appearance. This serum is easy to apply. I like the included dropper, and the fact that the bottle is glass, which can be recycled indefinitely. There is a very slight smell when you put this on at first, but that dissipates quickly. I do not find the scent to be pleasant, but it goes away so fast that I’m not really bothered enough to discontinue use. I like the clean ingredient list and the fact that there is no added fragrance. I also like that this is vegan and cruelty free. I have not noticed any photo sensitivity from this, but there is a note about that on the packaging, similar to Retinol products. I think this is a very well designed and good quality product, and I am seeing improvement in my skin.

I haven't used this long enough to see results but I wanted to say it hasn't caused me any sort of irritation, and I consider my skin sensitive. That doesn't mean it won't irritate your skin though, as everyone's is different! I like the consistency, it's like a thin gel to me. It spreads easily, but I do have to use way more than the 2-3 drops it says. I'm hoping it's actually helping my skin, as I haven't seen or felt any downsides to using it so far!
