Great little cage for the s9. I use mine with a top handle and v mount battery. I added a footy arca swiss plate and its works amazing.

The SmallRig cage is exactly what the Panasonic Lumix S9 needed. The camera’s compact size is great for portability, but the grip and mounting options were lacking. This cage adds just enough bulk to improve handling without ruining its compact feel. It’s lightweight, full metal, and matches the camera’s aesthetic well. I especially appreciate the added front grip and the two cold shoe mounts — perfect for mics or lights. Battery and card access remain fully usable, and it even includes an Arca-Swiss plate for quick tripod setups. If you're a content creator or hybrid shooter using the S9, this is a smart upgrade. I use it as a b-cam.

Perfect fit for Panasonic s9 and looks great!

An absolute must purchase to make up for the seriously flawed design of the s9. The s9's ergonomics are essentially non-existent, and this adds an actual grip to the body. The grip isn't perfect and suffers from a bizarre design choice to not only to have the grip shorter in length then, say the version for the canon m6mkii9, but they also added a rubber / fake leather area to a portion of the grip area itself. I understand what they were trying to do, but it's just not work have a shorter grip. If you're goign to add a grip, make it full and comfortable. This is more of a 1/2-3/4 sized grip compared to what it could be. For reference, my hands aren't big nor small, and on the slender side. All that being said, it does exactly what its supposed to do. If my comparisons confuse you, look at the version for eos m6 mkii that's previously mentioned. But it is best if you can compare them next to each other so one can truly get the gist of my notes.

The first unit I received appeared used—it had scratches and even a small piece of tape on it, which I only noticed after opening it in better lighting. Since I paid for a brand new item, I requested a replacement. Thankfully, the replacement was brand new, and I’m happy with it. Overall, I love the design and versatility of the cage. It fits the Lumix S9 perfectly and adds great security. I use it mainly for attaching my Insta360 X4 to capture BTS footage while shooting photos.

Without the grip, the bottom part of my thumb would constantly hit the playback button on the S9. With the addition of this Small Rig grip it moves my hand out and slightly angles it in such a way to where the bottom of my thumb no longer bumps the playback button. For that alone this is worth it. Nonetheless, it's also just a fantastic cage. Lots of mounting points and even a couple of cold shoe mounts. The texture of the grip matches the texture of the S9, which makes it look like it's part of the camera. Excellent attention to detail there.

Perfect fit! It protects my camera big time. I love how easily it is to install. You can easily attach your strap!

This cage is married to my S9 and will never get a divorce. It makes it so much easier to carry and attach accessories. Also, it makes me feel less worried about putting it down. I’d buy again if I had another S9.

A great designed cage. All possible connectivity is catered for. The quality of machining and hole threading is exemplary with absolutely no sharp edges and excellent finishing colour. In the end I concluded that the simpler SmallRig handgrip for the S9 was all I needed, so I reluctantly returned this one. But should I need the extra functionality I won’t hesitate to buy the SmallRig cage.

Passt wunderbar und wird an zwei Stellen mit der Kamera verschraubt. Das finde ich wichtig, damit die Kamera auch richtig sitzt.
