Blue Wood Stain | Wood Dye Powder for Indoor and Outdoor | Furniture Dye | Fast Drying | Furniture Stain for Wooden Pigment Coloring Powder (Blue, 2 Ounces)

This is an amazing stain - but listen to some pointers about it. It is a gradient color and unless mixed VERY well it turns out uneven with non-purple tones showing up. If you mix it with very hot water, it dissolves very, very well and you get a very nice and even color. THIS IS MESSY. The powder gets EVERYWHERE. If water touches the powder you have instant staining. Use gloves, apply the stain in an area that can be colored the same as the stain, and don't wear ANY clothing (including shoes!) that you don't want permanently stained. Don't wash any rags or clothing that have this stain on it either - unless you want to risk your washer turning a different color. It is fairly easy to use as long as you're cautious with it. It is a stain and it does...stain whatever it touches. All of that being said, the final outcome rocks. I used this on an untreated wood bifold door for my kitchen pantry and it turned out amazing. I used three coats, but if I wanted it toned down and darker I could have applied more to achieve that. This is quite versatile in that respect - to darken the color, just add more coats. Finally, this is a great value for the money. This little bottle of powder makes enough stain to cover a house - I mean that literally. You get a TON of stain out of this. The coverage is excellent - I used a rag and got a very nice and even color across a relatively rough surface. Because this was going in a kitchen, I did finish it with a coat of varnish. I think water on the finished stain might transfer and bleed, but I'm not sure. I decided not to risk it and sprayed on a top coat to seal it. Overall, incredibly happy with the result. Have fun!

Great looking and absorption stain. Super easy to mix up. Water clean up is great. Will be using this stain for many projects! Color is vibrant, and a little powder goes a long way!

I'm normally too lazy to write reviews, but i need to warn people. It does not come in a jar, it comes in a ziplock pouch, and there was apparently some of the powder on the outside of the pouch. It is hard to see when it's just a little bit of dry powder, but the second it comes in contact with water it's bright purple and it has permanently stained whatever that bit of dust landed on. If there's a bit on your hands and then you touch, say, the edge of your porcelain sink.. bam.. stained sink. I would suggest you just don't even bring the package into the house. Use gloves to open the amazon package, and then wipe down the pouch with a wet towel. Also, as others have said, it clumps when you try to mix it with water. Bad product

This is a mixed review. The stain worked good, i'd give it 5 stars. however it didn't come in a jar, it is in a pouch. Which the product page didn't show. The pouch is resealable, however dye powder will get on the unsealed opening and when that touches anything, that thing is stained. Hands, tools, counters. Even if you are careful, it's going to spread. For that reason it gets a three star. Yes it works, but find another seller or buy some plastic jars to store it in.

Awesome stain. I used the navy blue and couldn't be happier with the results.

Came as a bag of concentrated powder. Mixed what i needed. very vibrant. No smell. Added a little brown to tone it down for an ornament. Very pleased.
