Oh my goodness, my 9 year old absolutely loves this, her favourite birthday present of them all! A great price with so much opportunity for creativity. Easy to use and I like that the mannequins have a slot at the back so you can stick the material in it rather than always having to cut it up. Will buy again for other recipients!

Excellent gift for nieces for wet days in Summer holidays. Girls (10 and 12 years) were absolutely thrilled. Couldn’t wait to create their own fashion show. Kept them quiet for hours on end. Highly recommended.

This is a great purchase for someone who is very crafty. There is lots of material and tools to create lots of different designs of dresses. The instructions took a while to figure out. I would say this would be more suited to an older child such as a teenager as I purchased it for my 10 year old and she struggled with the instructions as did I and the needles and material etc she found really tricky to use to create the outfits. Like I said great value for money but more suited to an older teenager/adult

For £19.99 at time of review, this fashion design craft pack seems to contain a bit of everything. Obviously there are pieces of fabric, but also included are lace, ribbons, buttons, bows gemstones, sequins, pompoms, fabric flowers, and more. You also receive tools in the form of scissors, needles, threads, needle threader, vanishing ink pen for marking patterns, tape measure, pins, pincushion, clips, etc. And that’s not to forget the 5 x doll-sized mannequin forms to work on, which are quite cool items in their own right. There are also 7 pages of simple dress patterns. Where the kit falls down for me is the printed instructions included are quite minimal, and do not cover all the different styles of pattern pieces provided. Anyone who has done any dressmaking knows that patterns have their own language that takes some getting used to, and I do feel this kit falls a bit short on that account. However, there is definitely enough here to keep any aspiring designer busy for some time, especially if they are happy to strike out on their own and experiment. I would have absolutely adored this kit as a child, so I’m still happy to recommend, as long as you bear in mind that mastering the patterns may take a bit of imagination.
