Exactly what we needed
For a hide a key I would recommend this to anyone who needs this for their home

Functions fine, very dark, a bit fake looking
We are using it. Saved me already from lock out!! Water doesn't get in, serves its purpose. I marked down a star as it does look a bit fake. And darker than most rocks so does not blend in like I would like. . So if you have very dark rocks or coal around this is perfect.

Awesome way to hide keys. Just what I needed.
These hide-a-key stones:Look like rocks. Gray and black, mottled coloring, irregular shapes, flat bottoms. They're heavy. They feel like resin, maybe. Weighted, possibly. I trust them to stay in place in a garden bed, which is where I'll put one. The other will go on a shelf in our rear shop.Easy to use. Just flip them over and slide the bottom panel open. If a lot of dirt gets into the slides, they aren't easy to open. If you don't have fingernails, you might have some issues. If you carry a flat tip or the old southern flat tip, a butter knife, (I keep one in the tool kit in the back of my car, okay), then you can use that to pop the slide out enough to move it. One of the slides on a rock was a bit difficult to pry open, but it didn't come open and slid smoothly open and closed after that. There is enough space for several keys, if needed.I'm super happy to have a solution for my teen losing his house key or leaving it in one of our cars, for having friends pop by to dog sit when we go out of town, for when we accidentally lock ourselves or each other out of the house. Which happens. I lock the doors every time that I come in and out, on habit, and the husband will be out working on the car or doing yardwork. Oops. These are a great solution. I like how heavy they are. Yeah, they look fake, so just bury them halfway or put them with some other rocks so they don't stand out.The price is great. I love them and know I'll get a ton of use out of them.
