A great, multi-purpose knife for the price.
Usually I wait a while before submitting reviews, but for this item - when considering its price, quality and versatility felt I could award it 5*'s after less than a week.I'll start off with the only negative I can think of so far. It feels a little bit lightweight. But when you factor in this knife costs £5, it's hardly surprising. As for the positives, there are plenty. For starters the cutting edge of this thing is razor sharp. It is listed as a tomato knife, but that restrictive title does this knife an injustice. You could use this to prep almost any meat or vegetable. (Probably not fish as the serrated blade would add too much friction)I am not a chef, but I work alongside several. One of which has earned himself two Michelin stars in his career - I noticed that, ignoring our collection of paring knives from Wustoff, Henckel and Robert Welch, he always used his own. When I asked about it, he said he'd used it religiously for years (this knife) and would never use anything else.I've seen him cut through onions like butter. I am a long way from his knife skills and so it'll be a while till I can cut at that speed. But the point remains. This is an exceptional knife capable of great things in the right hands.I've used since buying to slice and dice onions, carrots, bread. It is perfect for tomatoes (obviously) or slicing lemons and limes - I even practised doing the chef-ey removal of skin from an orange (leaving just lovely segments) it worked like a dream.Do be careful though. This would create a nasty cut. There is flexibility in the blade, unlike many paring knives, so make sure if cutting something that may "slip" you're keeping fingers tucked in.Considering the only other knives I use in my kitchen are my collection of Henckels (Professional 'S' range) I am truly surprised how much I love this knife. For comparison - the cheapest Henckel I have bought was around £55 for a paring knife - this will do the job just as well - for £5.It won't replace the need for larger knives. So my main set is still needed - But this knife really can stand its own amongst the heavyweights. You also can't/don't need to sharpen it (as is serrated) if comes the unlikely time that it loses its edge - you're only £5 away from a new one.Just brilliant.

Great for tomatoes or anything needing a small, sharp knife
Nice and sharp. No squashy tomatoes. Good price. What's not to like?

VERY Sharp! Expensive.
Only available as a pack of 2, when only 1 needed. Therefore 'expensive'. However, quality is good and the blade is extremely sharp....as evidenced by a household member's finger damage.

Tomatoe knife Repeat purchase
I like to cook at home. This is my second victorinox tomato knife. had previous one for 18 months. Great quality knife. Recently Started to lose sharp edge and cheap enough to just replace. Use it specifically to cut tomatoes onions smaller vegetables. Use my Victorinox chefs knife for pretty much all else. Love that it comes sharp and maintains its effectiveness. Size is just right for comfort, not too big. The correct sharpness of blade and size of teeth. More expensive knife I had felt like it was cutting right through to the cutting board with each slice. This knife is easy to use. Easy to clean. I Use it for intended purpose (slicing tomatoes and small vegetables) and I take care of it. Very happy.
