Top quality fresh Kefir grains
Really good seller, I am back 2 years later for more as mine died when I went on holiday. They’re so easy to use, just pop them into a suitable receptacle and add your milk I prefer unhomogenised full fat but you do you. I treat it as a delicious medicine that is helping my get my gut health back on track along with my candida issues. Combined with a healthy diet these grains are a welcome addition to your daily routine, a nice thick easy breakfast that goes down lovely with a piece of fruit. 100% would buy more again from this seller in future.

Good buy
I initially didn’t think this would work, it did take three days for the bacteria to grow. After two weeks the grains have now doubled in size and I have a glass of kefir each day. Feel it is beneficial to my digestion system, I mix with berries for a lovely smoothie, I’m loving the tangy taste.Definitely worth the initial outlay and will last for ever. Delivery was on time and came with full instructions.

Not what is represented
I liked the advert main photo of large healthy Kefir grains, it looked good quality and value. What arrived was a packed of liquid with a few very tiny grains mixed in. I complained to the seller, they were very dismissive, saying that the product was OK.So don't buy this. It's like buying a bunch of carrots and getting a packet of seed!!!

Slow to start but works well once it gets going.
When the grains arrived they were very small but I was warned about that. It took a long time for these grains to get started even though I followed the instructions to the letter. Now they are making mild kefir in 24 hours or less depending on the room temperature (it's autumn so weather fluctuates quite a bit). The taste is quite sour even when fermented only for a while and the drink keeps fermenting in the fridge too! (But it shows that the bacteria is definitely alive.) Unless I will strain the fermented milk only a few hours later, the kefir becomes so thick it is difficult to separate the grains even when using a sieve: they are not nearly as big as water grains I ordered at the same time! I also tried one batch with goat's milk but I didn't get much result, not sure why. I have also tried to "brew" semi-skimmed milk which works fine. Hoping to gradually convert them to work with skimmed milk...

Cheaper than buying your own kefir
Excellent! I found that kefir helps me massively with chemotherapy induced GERD/indigestion but it's £1.50 a bottle! That's expensive when you want it 2x daily. So I did a little research and ended up here - so glad I did.I followed the instructions - I was a little unsure of what I was doing but found additional help on the internet. I duly put my grains in my clean glass jar, tipped in 300 ml of milk and waited 24 hours. The instructions suggest throwing away the first batch, so I drained it and tossed it - smelling it, there would have been no need. it smelled and looked just like kefir. I made my second batch, and, when it was ready, gave it a try. It was simply pure, smooth kefir. That was weeks ago. I now have 10x the amount of grains and am struggling to drink all this kefir! (Tip - put it on muesli or use it in muffins if you have excess.) I'm now experimenting with flavouring it - working well so far. A little orange and lemon peel works great to give it a slight flavour. DON'T flavour it with the grains in - you will taint your grains. Drain it, THEN add the fruit peel/mixed spice/fruit/cocoa/whatever you choose and leave for a second ferment in the fridge whilst your next, milk-only batch is brewing. If you're wondering if it's worth buying this - IT IS!

Not very active
We have kefir grains from a friend but fancied trying a different strain to see if we preferred it. The grains arrived in a bit of milk and in a sesledpladtic pouch. There was a comprehensive instruction leaflet too. However, after a couple of weeks of growing the grains we were still getting rather a sour production of kefir. It was drinkable but not as good as our original which grew quite quickly from a similar light liquid to now having the traditional ‘cauliflower’ type shape.with a better flavour. This one went in the freezer in case I want to try it again sometime!!
