If you're looking for country ham and you're not living in the southern United States, this is the real deal. It is salty, follow the directions to soak off some of the salt if that's an issue for you. It's tasty, well packaged, and delicious

Some of the best country ham I've ever tasted. I'm a real fan of country-cured ham and have tried products from GA, TN, VA, KY, and NC - gotta say, this NC product is one of the top two in my experience. Also loved that the shipping charge was included in the quoted price and was very reasonable. It arrived on time and in great condition.

My husband was born and raised in North Carolina. He liked the flavor of this ham but this ham was more like the fresh ham steak you'd purchase at the grocery store. He grew up with a drier, more salty country ham. Can't get it in Arizona, so we will continue looking online. I wanted to find something more affordable than purchasing a whole country ham, but this isn't quite what we are looking for. If you're used to the kind that needs to be "sawed" into slices, this isn't it.

Not a bad product overall, but I got a hankering for country ham after sampling some at a party. I found out it was Smithfield but thought I would save a little $ and go with one of the other brands. My mistake.

Tasted just like the hams hanging in grandpa's smoke house so very, very long ago. Just the right balance of salt, fries up easily, and taste great in a biscuit.

If you are in need of dry salt cured ham like they have in the south then this is it!! This is a very good product. The thickness of the slices is perfect and has a great flavor. This is NOT Yankee ham .
