My husband weighs about 215 lbs. The Ice barrel was too small for him to sit with any comfort. His knees would be crammed up against his chest and, additionally, he couldn't sit as low as the very low "seat" allowed. It would probably work for thin, athletic types, but not for big guys. We are returning it.

I love this ice barrel, it came just as described. It was really easy to set up. The ice barrel is quality material and performed excellent keeping the water cold. I love that it is insulated.I’m also really happy it’s easy to get in and out of. I like that this barrel is shorter than some others I considered purchasing. The barrel is comfortable to sit in.The lid helps keep the water clean and cool. The barrel is easy to drain.I love that the company and product are made in America. I have some of the large silicone ice cube trays on order from this company and I can’t wait to use them !

I'm 6'0", 235lbs and I definitely am unable to sit all the way down. My shoulders sit above the top of the barrel. If I had known this I would have gotten the 500 model. Other than that it is amazing. The water stays colder longer than most other cold plunges I've tried, the construction is amazing and very solid. It's built ready to connect to a chiller. Also their new chiller is a great product that is much better than every other on the market now. Solid but I do wish I had bought the bigger model.

While I do wish it were another 2 inches taller, it does fix my body well sitting cross-legged. I am 6’ 2” and with the water level at the top of the highest inlet, the water reaches just below my chin. The 300 itself is extremely well made and functions perfectly with my DYI chiller and filter system.

The Ice Barrel 300 model is definitely worth it, especially if ice baths are something you do frequently or would like to do frequently. The tub stays cold longer than most ice baths because it's insulated and the water can also last up to a few weeks before needing to be replaced as long as you get the stabilizer to keep it sterile! I also love that it's spacious and that there is a seat because it helps you to stay still and as comfortable as you can be while doing an ice bath. A friend of mine had one and after I used it, I had to get one for myself!

I love the ice barrel 300. It was so simple to set and fill up. From unboxing to having it full took about 10 minutes! The seat inside makes for a comfortable position to relax in during. The height of the barrel makes it super east to get in and out of which is nice when the limbs aren’t working the same after being in the freezing water. The total footprint isn’t massive so it fits nicely on the patio without being obnoxious and taking up a bunch of space. Such a great product and recovery tool. I’m glad I can add it into my regimen!
