When I was a youngster, in the 1960s , used to share a bedroom with my grandma. She always had a tub of ponds dry skin cream on her dressing table which I was allowed to use as and when I wanted. She was in her 70s then but had no wrinkles and attributed it to the use of this cream. Time passed and even into her 80s she continued to use the same regime and died with an amazing complexion. I continued to use this cream and although I have tried many more expensive products I too continue to use this lovely product. It is harder to buy now but it is still the same product that I first used in the 1960s during my early teenage years. I am now in my 70s and not only do I have lovely soft skin with few wrinkles but when I open the jar and smell the distinct aroma of ponds I am transported back to those long gone days and memories of my amazing grandmother.I love it and would say give it a try you may be pleasantly surprised.

Lovely big pot of classic moisturiser that feels more expensive than it is. Feels lovely to put on and is absorbed easily. Not oily, just creamy. Smells lovely too.

For many years Ponds cream was in my daily facial care routine. Then I moved on to different products. Of late my skin had become very dry and despite trying various products for dry skin, including some expensive ones, my skin remained dry.Thats when I decided to try Ponds again. This is a very generous tub of cream. The cream feels lighter than I remember it. I was worried that it will probably not do anything for my dry skin. I am happy to say my skin feels so much better. This cream has really helped.It’s easily absorbed and the moisturising effect last a long time. Unlike other creams, I’ve not had to reapply during the day. It does not feel greasy nor does it make your skin look greasy.It is definitely good value for money not just because of the size but the fact it works.

The reviews on this cream were very mixed but I thought it worth a go. The pot is much larger than I expected so great value. The smell is quite strong but Im used to it now, and think it smells a bit like ginger. I have always had dry akin and hormonal breakouts. I used to use an expensive brand and have tried various but I wanted to go back to basics with a trusted and inexpensive brand. For the first few weeks, this made me breakout even more but I wanted to give it a fair chance. Pretty quickly, the spots stopped coming and I now have very clear and hydrated skin. It looks better now than it has in years and Im glad I worked through it and persevered. I won’t buy another brand again!

I love this gentle face cream have used it for years and my mother before me. Great price for a large pot. Highly recommend

As the title says really, I'm disappointed as the description does say fragrance free, which is what I wanted as I have sensitive skin. There is definitely a strong fragrance to it. I have used it for the first time this eve, so will have to wait and see if it affects my skin. I will update after I've used it for a while.EDIT I'm still not sold on this to be honest. It's not as thick as I was hoping, so have to use quite a lot of product to moisturise my face. Doesn't stay moisturised all day. I will continue to use it up and see how my face is then.
