Heera - Young Green Jackfruit in Brine - 482g (Pack of 2)

This stuff is just amazing. Who'd have thought a tin of unknown fruit named after a boy who bought some magic beans could be such a delight. So often I hear, but what can you (a vegan) actually eat? And time and time again I explain. So this year at a large family BBQ I made BBQ pulled 'pork' from jack fruit but didn't tell anyone. It was a huge success and no one realised they were eating delicious fruit instead of the charcoaled flesh of a dead pig. When I told them they were surprised and since then it has become a staple in my household for even the non vegans. Delivery was quick and I've been super pleased.

Took a while to come but it was really great. Made lovely vegan pulled pork. Would definitely recommend!

I expected jackfruit to be amazing, but it's more like stringy fat and gristle rather than a vegan "meat" alternative. Still have a can from last year (out of the two cans that I bought). It'll probably get thrown away as I don't know what to do with it, and I HATE wasting food =(

Excellent service. It was due to be delivered after Christmas but has arrived today (23rd). It's now in my slow cooker for a delicious alternative to pulled pork. Five star :)

Used to make vegan 'pulled pork'. Tasty enough, if mixed with Caribbean spice and served with black rice.

A friend mentioned this was a great substutute to meat. I am not vegetarian, but this goes well with bbq souce and makes great alternative to meat as can easily be "masked" as pulled pork. Will be getting more!

I have been vegan for 40 years,but just been informed about Jackfruit. It is very bland, so I cooked it in curry and enjoyed it Better than expected.

The tins came really bashed up and one when I opened it was half empty and not containing that much jackfruit
