Its a 9/10 for me.(Unfortunately can't do that here)Overall the product quality is excellent, the machining on the enclosure, the tooless drive accessibility and the provided accessories(both the cables and hard case) are up to spec and feel great.The fan is not constantly on it kicks in when it needs to and is pretty much silent, you'll only feel(not hear) a slight buzz when you hold the drive.It looks huge in the pictures but it is tiny and speeds are as advertised.Coming to ads, the branding on the enclosure is a bit much for me, I get it you need to get the name out but I wish it would have been subtler.The only thing which I feel unsure of is the mechanism to hold the ssd down for 2280 size drives, its a tooless one but it doesn't really feel fully secure. Its basically a bit of plastic protruding in the chassis. For smaller drives you get plastic pins(extra are included-nice touch) which work fine.Overall an excellent product though.

good product, it is easy to install ssd, getting under 500 mb speed, metal body with fan nice look good and working well, compatible for pc and mac just you need to know how to format it, it is value for money if you build your own ssd.

I consistently get read/write speeds of around 900–1000 MB/s, which is just about the maximum the 10Gbps USB-C interface can handle. No bottlenecking from the enclosure’s side.🔹 Tool-Free & Convenient: Installing the SN7100 into the PiBOX was incredibly easy—no screws required. The rubber peg locks the SSD firmly in place. Ideal for quick swaps or repurposing high-end NVMe drives.🔹 Cooling Done Right: This is where PiBOX really shines. The built-in fan and full aluminum casing keep the SN7100 cool even under prolonged file transfers. I did a 200GB video backup in one go—temps stayed stable, and performance didn’t dip.🔹 Build & Compatibility: Solid enclosure with premium finish. The SN7100 fit perfectly, and the USB-C port is tight and reliable. Comes with both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to A cables. No issues with detection on Windows or Mac.🔹 Real Use Case: I’m using this setup as a high-speed external drive for editing 4K footage and moving large project files between systems. External case looks good but Fan stopped running after 5days and the case is producing more heat as we use for long time. Very poor performance.

Initial impressions are good—the enclosure is well-built and looks premium, except for the branding text on the body. I have used a Crucial E100 1TB SSD as an external OS drive (Windows) in it. Honestly, it is working faster than my laptop’s internal SSD when connected to the Type-C port. Since the Type-C port has a maximum bus speed of 10Gbps(1.1GBps), the SSD hits the expected benchmarks. The enclosure is truly useful and compact. Also, the included pouch and mobile stand are very handy and save additional costs. Overall, I am satisfied with the product’s quality and performance.

Good quality, overheating issue resolved, cooling pad fitting issue, should come with extra cooling pad.
