Helped a tentative toddler
My 2 and a half year old had previously used a potty but had suddenly started becoming very upset and refused to sit on it, so we put it away with the idea of trying again later. He would eventually sit on it fully clothed but was really upset if asked to use it. We looked online together and found this. He liked that the face made it look like a snowman, and he loves singing and dancing so the playing music is a win. It arrived on an evening after he had gone to sleep but the first thing he did when he woke up was ask for his snowman toilet. After a couple of days going bare bum at home he quickly got the idea and hasn't used a nappy since for a wee. A week and a half later I still use pull ups because he has irritable bowel and I don't want him to get upset if he has an accident but his nappies have all been dry, even on an night, and he has started doing poos on it too after initial hesitancy. He will now use standard potties at nursery, as well as his original potty here. I know he would have reached that stage eventually anyway, but the toilet singing every time he uses it makes him chuckle and has definitely massively boosted his confidence. The potty is easy to empty and the seat fits nicely on our family toilet, and he loves the toilet roll holder on the side. The splash guard is very useful too, and he can lift it himself. The hole of the seat is on the smaller side so we have to make sure he shuffles backwards or forwards accordingly, but he's exceeded what I thought we'd be doing at this stage so I honestly can't fault it.

Brilliant!
My son loves this potty. We had a tough start to training, really hit and miss. We gave a sweet treat when he was successful but it still didn't seem to do the trick all the time. The previous potty that we had was basic and he also struggled to sit down on it without help so if we weren't right there, he'd just wee in his pants. A friend suggested we get a musical potty. There were 2 brands available and we asked our son which he wanted, the one with the toilet roll or the one with stickers. He's not a fan of stickers so he chose this one, it's slightly more expensive so if your child loves stickers go cheaper. My friend had the other one and she got the same results that we did. It arrived super fast and was easy to put together. In the first hour he wee'd at least 8 times, quickly realising that if he drank more he'd wee more. This potty is slightly higher and he found it easier to sit down without help and very quickly started using it on his own. I can't remember the last time he had an accident - we've been without nappies for 2 months. The music isn't too loud or annoying and lasts long enough to have a mini celebration and make the whole process fun. The flusher just clicks when you press it, it doesn't make a flush sound, but this doesn't seem to bother him. The purple insert is easy to remove and clean, not too large or bulky to flush out in the loo. The toilet paper holder, holds a standard loo roll. To the people complaining that it leaks: - It's not leaking, your child is peeing on the green wee guard and the wee is dripping down onto the inside of the potty when you remove the purple insert to clean it. A quick wipe with some toilet paper before you remove the insert would stop this, it would also be more hygienic!

Ideal for potty training
I bought this well in advance of potty training and started using it as a second potty downstairs (2 weeks in) when my toddler had started to grasp using the potty on a regular basis. This potty helped to engage my toddler even more as she was excited to use it and she now uses it independently. It is great as the potty is a similar shape to a toilet and has the toilet roll holder attached. This is a great potty for using before progressing to the toilet.

Great potty! Two things to consider!
I am currently using this potty so haven’t tested all the features fully like using the seat on the big toilet and to be honest I’ve purchased a seat for the big toilet separately from another brand as I like them to fit tight so there’s no movement from the seat and so it feels secure, that way they don’t worry about falling down the hole (I had this problem with my oldest) haha...First of all I just want to say this potty has worked wonders! My little girl loves it and after a week of potty training she was using it! She’s 21 months, can easily sit on and off it by herself although a slight down fall is that there is no grip at the base of the potty so if it’s on wood flooring or tiles it does slide about. This is a bit annoying but not to much of a problem for us and you can always prop it against a wall I guess. For this reason, for sturdiness I would give it a 4/5, everything else is sturdy and well made. The only other thing that I dislike about the potty is the grooves in the bowl that catches the wees and poos. I’ve attached a photo and put arrows so you can see the grooves I am talking about. When your child wees it’s fine and very easy to clean! However if she/he poos it can be a bit of a pain! It does go into the grooves and this makes cleaning more difficult. I guess it’s a minor but if you’re slightly OCD like me, this is annoying (I have found that scrubbing the grooves with a small old paint brush and some flash with bleach removed everything though!).Overall I would definitely recommend this potty for anyone considering a potty to train their little one on!What I like most about this potty is the music it makes once your little one has been to the toilet, it lets you know they have been and my little girl loves to cheer when she hears it, it’s very encouraging! Lots of people said it’s quiet but I think it’s okay!Even though it has two slight downfalls for me this doesn’t outweigh all the positives and the fact that it’s done the job and my little girl is now fully potty trained in just under 2 weeks after a reluctant start initially haha!Good luck.
