Light, unobtrusive, and very "futuristic" aid to using a trackball
I normaly use a Logitech Ergo M575 trackball for pointing when I am doing data entry on my iPad, and I find that after an hour or two of use, my thumb develops pains and stiffness as I roll the ball around the screen using it (weighed against this, I used to develop chronic pains in arms and wrist when using a traditional mouse, so the trackball is a definite improvement!).This silicon wrist support sits nicely behind the ttrackball, elevating my palm to be at the same height as the ball and buttons, so there is no unnatural flexing of thumb or fingers. I've been using it for three hours so far this evening, and there is no sign of soreness or stress, so it definitely works for dealing with my issues. My normal "workstation" of an evening is to use a "lap desk" on which my iPad sits, with a keyboard in front of it and the trackball on the right hand side of the keyboard. This all works well BUT the trackball tends to slide down since it is on an inclined plane. One (maybe unplanned?) benefit of thsi wrist rest is that it is made of silicon, so when you press it down, it sticks to what it is resting on (as long as it is non-porous), so it stops the trackball sliding down. I can see that aspect of things being a benfit when I come to use it on a "proper" desk - I really dislike rests that "float" around on the desk top. This is a neat, unobtrusive, wrist rest that does a great job on reducing unnatural flexing of the wrist and has already proven beneficial in my use of the Ipad and trackball.
