Is this a fine salt , or does it contain gritty sand bits ?

It is quite grainy and doesn’t quite fully dissolve in a glass of water. It does fully dissolve when used in cooking, though. It is free flowing (I use it in my salt pot at the table) and has masses of trace elements, so I never use ordinary table salt. I certainly don’t find the graininess a problem.

I see that it is gluten free but is it also fat free and sugar free?

Yes it is pure salt. No fat, dietary fiber, cholesterol or sugar.

Does the safety seal on the lid break during transportation? My current supplier claims transporation breaks the seal. Thank you.

I've received the product and the package undamaged. It was shipped from the US to Poland so a lot could have gone wrong during transportation but it hasn't. It was more than a year ago, though.

It is not shown in ingredients so probably not
