This Kevala ORGANIC Avocado Oil is the most beneficial oil for good health; it's "cold-pressed" -- which prevents it from corrupting its alkaline-forming post digest value, with a smoke point of 375°F or lower(since it is cold-pressed). The price point is relatively reasonable versus its competitors, particularly for the economy size. Thus, it affords me the freedom to use this oil on everything, esp. with baking & cooking up to 375°F/190°C, though I personally use it for light stove-top stir frying:) The taste: It's mild, smooth and does not alter the desired taste of my dishes, based on my personal taste sensitivity. Of course, for enhancing flavor, nothing beats good old olive oil. But, not even high grade olive oil will give you the nutritional value or shelflife of avocado oil. *This is a winner for me as long as it remains a cost-effective alternative to profit driven oils . :)
