When my mother was in hospice, we looked at urns for her, and she choose this one, which reflected various things about her - she loved stained glass & mosaics; the mosaic design looked like Caribbean waters (she loved travel & cruising); the colors were pretty.The urn turned out to be really quite pretty, and I was pleased to see it come with paperwork that showed these urns are handmade by a women's collective in India, which means that we supported women artisans, another plus! It is very solid and feels well-made. The lid screws firmly tight.The description says it holds ~200 cubic inches; I'm not sure how much space the average person's cremains take up. My mother was 135 lbs. in life, and her cremains fill about 2/3 of this urn. As a result, there is some space at the top that we are able to fit a few small items reflective of her life in with her cremains.We are pleased to have such a beautiful urn for our mother.

The picture don't do this justice a lot prettier in person. It was a hard thing to purchase missing my sister and was worried about the accuracy of the size. It worked great!

This urn is absolutely beautiful in person. It’s a standard sized one (I checked with the funeral home before I purchased) and the locking system makes me feel very secure. The funeral home director said he had multiple people asking if they could buy this same one from him, everyone LOVED it. You can tell it’s hand made and made with love. I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. Great value for your money. Get it, you will not regret it!!!
