For serious coffee connoisseurs
I got this coffee canister because I know that my coffee connoisseur, son will be staying at our home for a few months this spring. He invests in very good quality coffee beans and grinds his portions as needed. I know that this glass vacuum type jar will do the trick in keeping the beans fresh so that the oils don't dry out. My husband and I use a flip top hinged canister for our more regular grind and the speed at which my husband drinks coffee means that it's usually quite fresh without the vacuum additional feature. I would caution that it took a hot minute to figure out how it work and wasn't easy to get open the first time outta the blocks. Read the instructions so you get familiar with home the air is extracted and how to release the pressure to open the canister.

Functional, glass canister.
I like the design, I really like the fact that it’s glass, not plastic. Easy to extract the air out, I don’t have to do an extended work out to pump the valve, easy release. The only thing is the part when I need to open the unit to get my coffee beans out. All you need to do is just twist the lid, the glass container makes me a little nervous, but just grab from the bottom part to open it and it’s fine!I’m happy with it, I might buy again to store more coffee!! Great product though!!

Holds 14oz bag of ground coffee
Initial review November 2024: It took weeks to arrive, but I'm very happy with the canister. I replaced a stainless canister with silicone gasket lid that did not vacuum seal and it holds a 14 oz bag of coffee perfectly. The instructions do state that it will loose vacuum over a few days but I use the jar daily so it really doesn't matter. Pardon the photo, it's before I washed it, dried it, and filled it.

I needed a secure container for my flour and this works perfect
I have a unique problem I have dart frogs and because I have dart frogs I have to raise flies unfortunately, the fruit flies really love flower, and I’m having a hard time getting a container that seals and keeps everything out because normally a bay leaf is good enough to keep whatever out of your flower but not not this so I got this container and it’s amazing it seals so nice and tight. You can literally pressurize it to keep your flower completely safe from silly things like fruit fliesI know this is unusual, but if you’re looking for a container that really seals this one’s fantastic. I love that it’s glass. I love that you can actually pump the top to pressurize it and then you hit the other button to release the pressure. I will say it is kind of hard to pull the lid off so definitely go slow.

Nice looking and working well
I've used this Maestri House vacuum coffee canister for several days and am quite pleased.I buy my coffee beans in larger quantities, so I wanted a vacuum coffee canister with a larger capacity. This one fits the bill. It's glass, nice looking, and functions well. I was curious about how I'd like pumping the lid, and that's turned out fine. A bonus is that it's a much quieter process than using the smaller, electric pump canister I have, so I can use it immediately, without fear of waking others.I'll need to use it a bit longer to see how it continues to perform, but for now, I'm giving it a big thumbs up.

Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister Pro: The Ultimate Solution for Fresh Coffee Storage
As someone who enjoys a wide variety of flavored coffees, I tend to have several different bags of beans in rotation at any given time. I love trying new flavors, but I also want to make sure that I don't get tired of a single flavor too quickly. However, the challenge comes with storage. Keeping all these different coffees fresh, especially when the beans are constantly exposed to air, can be tricky. Air is the enemy of coffee beans, and it can dry them out and distort the flavor, which is the last thing I want when I’ve spent time choosing a good blend. That's when I decided to try the Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister Pro, and I’m glad I did. This product has made a significant difference in preserving the flavor and freshness of my coffee beans, and I think it’s the perfect solution for anyone who wants to maintain that freshly brewed taste. The Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister is incredibly easy to use. It comes with a simple design that makes it intuitive and straightforward. All I have to do is place my coffee beans inside the canister, and then press the button a few times to remove the air. With each pump, it creates a vacuum that helps preserve the integrity of the beans by keeping out oxygen. Once the vacuum is created, the coffee beans are sealed inside the canister, and I know that they will stay fresh for a much longer time than if I had just left them in an open bag. The process to remove the air is simple, too. You press the release button, and the pressure between the inside of the jar and the outside air equalizes. After that, the lid comes off with ease, and you can access your beans whenever you need them. What I love most about this vacuum canister is how effective it is in keeping my coffee beans fresh. I’ve tried a few other storage solutions in the past, from airtight jars to vacuum-sealed bags, but none have performed as well as this one. The vacuum feature really does make a noticeable difference in preserving the flavor of my coffee. I no longer worry about my beans losing their freshness within a few days of opening the bag, which has been a revelation for me. Since I rotate through different flavors, I can confidently store my beans without worrying that they’ll lose their aroma or taste over time.Another great aspect of the Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister is its ease of cleaning. There’s no complicated rim or intricate parts to clean, so washing it by hand is a breeze. The canister itself is made from high-quality glass, which not only looks elegant on my kitchen counter but also makes it easy to rinse out. The sellers claim that it is dishwasher safe, but I personally wouldn’t recommend putting the lid in the dishwasher. I prefer to hand wash it to ensure the vacuum mechanism stays in good working order. The glass body of the canister is durable and doesn’t retain any odors from previous contents, so it’s also great for anyone who wants to store different kinds of beans over time without worrying about flavors mixing. The size of the canister is another plus. With a 40 oz. capacity, it’s the perfect size to hold a good amount of coffee beans while not taking up too much space on the counter. I’ve found it to be just right for my needs. I can store enough beans for several weeks of use, but it’s compact enough that it doesn’t overwhelm my kitchen counter. Whether it’s in my home office or placed alongside my espresso machine, it adds a touch of sophistication to the space. One minor drawback I’ve noticed is that the vacuum process, while effective, can take a few pumps before it fully creates a tight seal. It’s not a big deal, but sometimes it takes several pumps before the mechanism indicates the vacuum is present. This is a very small issue in the grand scheme of things, but worth mentioning. Once the vacuum is properly created, however, the canister works flawlessly. The Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister Pro also comes with a coffee scoop, which I found to be a nice touch. It’s convenient to have it included, as I don’t have to worry about looking for a separate scoop when I want to measure out my beans. The scoop is well-sized and easy to use, adding a bit of extra convenience to the whole coffee storage experience.Overall, I’m very happy with my acquisition of the Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister Pro. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of both performance and design. The vacuum feature works as advertised, and I’ve noticed a clear improvement in the freshness and flavor of my coffee beans. It’s also easy to clean, looks great in my kitchen, and offers a good amount of storage without taking up too much space. If you're someone who loves coffee and wants to keep your beans fresh for longer, I highly recommend giving this canister a try. It’s a small investment that makes a big difference in the quality of your coffee.

Quality product, exactly what I was looking for!
This product arrived the next day via Amazon Prime and was packaged in a simple cardboard box.PROS-Okay, so full admission, I am not using this for coffee beans. I have been experimenting making my own hair and skincare products and because I am opting for 100% natural ingredients without any chemicals or preservatives (e.g. aloe vera extract, jojoba oil, shea butter, etc.) I have been looking for a storing vessel that could help improve the shelf life of the mixture. This product is exactly what I was looking for.-This product is made of borosilicate which is durable, resistant material (you can often boil water in teapots made of such material, directly on the stove). I tried another product made of acrylic which I found easily gets marked after handling and scratches and clouds easily, especially in a dishwasher.-The pump works well and creates an effective seal. and while the contents are not preserved as though they are vacuum sealed, this definitely has made a noticeable improvement on my homemade hair products. I previously could keep a batch for 7-10 days, and now I find the product is still fresh 2 to 3 weeks later.-I really like that this has a wide mouth because it allows me to hand mix and make use of a spatula.-As a result, this product is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.-While the asking price of $42 CAD may seem a bit high, Maestri House makes good quality products (I encourage you check out their milk frothers which do an excellent job),

Sturdy and easy to use
The design of the canister is fantastic. It has a sleek black finish that looks modern and stylish, perfect for any kitchen counter. It feels sturdy and well-made, which is important for something I plan to use daily. With a capacity of 40 ounces, it holds a large amount of coffee beans that are enough beans for a couple of weeks. The canister is solidly built from thick clear glass. The lid of the canister comes with a built-in vacuum pump, and all it takes is a few quick pumps to create an airtight seal. The vacuum feature of the canister is easy to use and works very well. The vacuum inside the canister keeps air and moisture away keeping coffee beans fresh and aromatic for a long time. Another nice touch is the included coffee spoon. It’s a simple yet useful addition that saves me the hassle of searching through my drawer for a measuring spoon. The canister has a wide opening which makes it easy to clean before I refill it will coffee beans. This vacuum canister is also suitable for keeping ground coffee as well as a lot of other hygroscopic items to keep them fresh and free from clumps. Additionally, this canister would make a great gift for any coffee lover. With its effective vacuum seal, sturdy design, and easy-to-use vacuum pump, this Maestri House Vacuum Coffee Canister is an excellent choice for all coffee lovers.

Seems to work well
I honestly will never be a great judge of how much longer my coffee beans stay fresh in this container just in the bag, but what I can say is:1. This jar looks very nice, much nicer than a half-empty bag of coffee beans..2. It's easy to use: just press the big extraction button until there's a good vacuum (the button stays basically flush against the lid), and the to open, press the release3. It definitely seems like it's doing the job - the seal seems to be quite good.4. It's a great size, seems quite durable and high quality5. The included scoop is a nice added touch. For me anyway, it did take quite a while to arrive - not sure why - but now that it's here, I love it.

Does what it promises but a bit impractical
This is a well made vacuum jar. It does seal and keep your coffee beans fresh. However, because of the large size it take 25-40 pumps to get the air out which is a bit impractical to do 2-3 times a day. I think it would be better for longer term storage for example if you wanted to fill your coffee machine once or twice a week and then keep the remaining beans fresh in the jar.

Good airtight container with manual vacuum
Biggest pro is this is pretty well made. As airtight container, it works very well and will be good for general use and coffee. My biggest con though is the manual vacuum requirement. Each time you open and close, if you want to vacuum the air, you have to manually push the air out by repeatedly pressing a button 30+ times. It's annoying to do.The lid is also annoying to take off, it's basically a rubber stopper so you have to pry it open which is common but unlike other containers, this has a smooth lid with little traction or handle to easily take it off. It's really not that big of a deal but as far as design goes, I prefer one with either a handle or something with friction. If you want the vacuum function and are okay with pressing the button repeatedly everytime you need to use it, this will work perfectly. Otherwise I would consider something else.
