Bass player here. I bought the SandBar to control the calluses on my fingertips. It works GREAT! I had no idea it would work as well as it does. The SandBar people say that the idea isn't to remove calluses, it's to control them, to make them work for you. As a bass player, this is exactly what I wanted, I need some callusing, just not too much. The SandBar is perfect for that. It's quick and easy.

I have lived my entire life with major depressive disorder that includes anxiety. Part of my stimming that I do to self soothe when I’m anxious is to chew on my pinky finger. Over the years my finger has become a very malformed monstrosity and heavily calloused to the point of the skin being translucent. It feels really embarrassing when people notice my hand, I've tried so many other products and none of them have been as effective as this tool. I have seen shavers and the thought of them always feels very scary. This kit is a game changer. I wish I would’ve taken it before picture but this is after using this for the last 4 to 5 days. The calluses are still there, but in just a few days the gnarls are slowly decreasing and the skin is becoming much softer and smoother. I’m not sure if I I’ll exer be able to break this habit, but at least I now have something to repair the damage as much as possible and I feel less embarrassed by my hands because it looks close to normal now. It’s so convenient that I can take it with me when I need it most.

This is a great size and my 8 year old ninja warrior says it works on his calluses and is easy to use. I docked a star because I feel like the price is high.

Does the job nicely, compact, and easy

Exactly what I was looking for, for hand callous control. High quality and easy to clean.

Worked really well in the beginning but after a couple of weeks of use (2-3x per week maybe) the grit starts to fade and it becomes less effective. Not sure I'd buy again.

This actually grinds the callus down to the soft skin. If this is the first time you’re doing it, don’t do it all in one go. I suggest over 2 or even 3 days. Learn from my mistake. It worked well on the first try that I went to deep to get rid of all the callus. Plus, it’s not designed to eliminate the callus since it’s going to come back if you exercise (like me). It makes it more softer as new skin is introduced. Reading the instructions and use helps. Highly recommended!
