Excellent taste and price.
We have purchased this particular ramen before and found it quite satisfying. Not too spicy, just a good snap and the cheese is tasty. Highly recommend!

I don't get it
The rave reviews made me try this...To me it was like my mouth was tasting what was supposed to be chili but at the same time my tongue was confused because the textures weren't right (and the taste of the noodles) so it was a pale imitation. The portion is large so you could realistically have two servings (this is a plus if you are on a budget and need something quick to fill you up) but I recommend adding something to it to help with the saltiness.Eating this, I finally understood why people consider these types of noodles to be a "snack" and not a meal.

Great Tasting Yakisoba Chili Cheese Noodles, Perfect for a quick meal.
The media could not be loaded. If you've had the Cheddar Cheese variety, you know what you're getting with these just a bit spicier in flavor. Think like Chili Cheese Frito's flavor and that's about the same as these. Easy to use, peel back the lid halfway, take out the silver seasoning packet, fill to the line with water, then microwave for 4 minutes, add the spice packet and stir. Let is sit for a few minutes to cool and for the sauce to thicken. Tastes great, easy to use, quick tasty meal and my kids have absolutely devoured them. No complaints at all, this is another fantastic flavor you should give it a try.

Why would you do this, Maruchan?
The Cheddar flavor Yakisoba by Maruchan is excellent, blending Kraft-style mac & cheese style cheddar (maybe with a bit of a nacho cheese accent) with fettucini-esque noodles for an intriguing dish. Sure, the flavor's a bit light, but sprinkling a bit of kraft powder in there fixes that right up (and understandably blends in rather well- but try Annie's or similar for a richer flavor, they worked just as well for me- surprisingly, so did Cheeto's mac & cheese packets!), and who doesn't love the excuse to have a cheesier dish? But this Chili Cheese flavor? Don't expect the same cheap-yet-enjoyable cheddar flavor. In fact, don't expect a cheese flavor at all. It's.. I guess it's supposed to be cheese, but it's so distinctly artifical tasting that I'm not quite sure. And the Chili, ugh. I get that they were going for cheap bagged chili mac style chili powder instead of a heartier canned/homemade chili or the more seasoning based style of Maruchan's basic Chili Ramen packets (note: recommended, easy to add as a flavor enhancer for most of your favorite soups), but even framed within that context this is just.. well, it fails to meet expectations of "chili flavor" as much as the cheese aspect manages to fail to meet the expectations of "cheese flavor".The overall effect was a very strong "artificial" flavor, and a feeling akin to chewing on spoiled cardboard. Mixing in other cheese mixes didn't help, either, the artificial flavor just cut through them and didn't offer anything beneficial to them. That is to say, you're flat out better removing these terrible flavor packets outright, and just wholly using the cheese packets from another company. And at that point, why would you even bother with this?Honestly, I never had problems with the Yakisoba line before- even the Teriyaki flavors are fine to me, and I don't even *like* Teriyaki as a flavor- but this one is just.. look, it may take a bit to find, but I guarantee you that SOME local store has these available individually. While this 8 pack is a more affordable option for those who have determined they for some reason like this offering, everyone else is highly recommended to instead just go find an individual container to try first. Lest you get stuck with 7 additional queasyness-inducing containers of food you need to figure out what to do with, as I did.Really, I was so excited to get a more robust Cheddar offering, but this just isn't it.
