Fits my Salton 14 cup machine to a tee. I couldn't find a replacement carafe for my 1 yr old Salton machine...this works!

This was a replacement for the coffee pot that came in our initial purchase. The original coffee pot leaked whenever you poured yourself a cup. We always poured coffee over the sink to avoid the mess. This replacement doesn't drip at all. Wish I had broken the original sooner.

I needed a replacement for an old Cuisinart 14-cup carafe - this worked to meet that need.This replacement carafe fit perfectly and works as expected - allows the brewer to make coffee the same as the original OEM carafe.One difference between the original OEM version and this vendor version is that the lid is attached to the carafe via a sort of hinge arrangement. The lid can be removed from the carafe easily by pulling it out of the point of attachment; my concern is if this is done too often the small plastic pivot rod may break. I remove the lid when putting the pot into the dishwasher, so hope the lid hinge lasts. Because of this concern I subtracted a "star" from the full 5 star rating.
