Penhaligon makes a superb shaving cream, lathers well, and provides excellent protection. The Penhaligon forte, however, is scent. Of those I've tried they've all been remarkably well done, and it's a bit difficult to describe exactly what makes them so good. Other creams can match the Penhaligon lather and protection qualities (for less cost) but it's worth getting a tube just to smell the stuff. Many to choose from.

A knock -off version?
Ordinarily I love this cream. The scent is beautiful, subtle, the cream smooth and rich (I like it as a body lotion-since I don't shave.)I ordered it from amazon for some reason rather from penhaligons or Saks. Selected the Zgo option as it was a little cheaper. It arrived promptly, but either this is a knock off or a very stale product. There is a moldy scent, the cream is not as smooth, and on closer inspection, the tube label is a diffent color. I highly recommend Penhaligon products, and this scent especially - just buy them from the company or a known source like Saks.

Simply the best
Repeat purchase. Great as an aftershave balm. Scent is marvelous. I have used nothing else since finding this in a Penhaligon store in London several years back. Used L'Occitane Baux for many years previously but Penhaligon's is, in my opinion, a clear step up. Great find!

Most luxurious shaving cream I have ever used. I am normally really thrifty, but Penhaligon's Endymion Shaving Cream is worth every extra 'pence" and is actually more economical than some lower priced alternatives because, just like the Brycream ad used to say, "A little dab"ll do ya".
