Great quality. Nice price. Fast shipping as always from Amazon. A+++
WOW! This baby can get HOOOOOOT! Thjs soldering iron, of which ive had COUNTLESS others, is by far the one thats been able To get to hottest temp. Im not exactly sure what it is Lol, i dont max it out ever by any means. But when I turn this soldering iron on, BETTER MAKE SURE ur on point and concentrating lol. Cuz if you touch the soldering iron as hot as this one’s capable of getting , ur gunna be in come Trouble! I had purchased this soldering iron mainly as an “everyday usage” type. I have 4-5 soldering irons usually at any given time. Almost are wireless/rechergable, but those tend to not get anywhere near as hot as this type can, and just not able to take a beating like this type is from what I’ve seen from my past usage anyways lol. The item was priced very well at the time i bought it. I didnt need or expect anything amazing, I WANTED a soldering iron thay was Gunne be able to be used everyday, take a beating over time, and still work EVERYTIME I go to plug it in. Ive had this item for quite some time now, and i can honestly say, it’s taken a beating for sure! lol. But he's held up nicely, still looks pretty decent, and has never once Not functioned correctly. And for that, Im EXTREMELY GREATFUL! I highly recommend this item, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one when the time comes that i need a replacement. This has def gotten its money out of it and much more! Thanks so much to seller, great quality item and a nice price. A+++++

Feature and function are desirable!
I bought this for many reasons: 1. price. At this price it's worth the risk of it not being good or breaking early. 2. It is digitally controlled with temperature setting and readout. Useful. 3. The image of this one showed a US 3-prong power NEMA 5-15P. I haven't taken this apart yet but from what I see, this is good quality wire and everything I wanted from a safety standpoint. The manual has been misplaced. I'll find it soon I hope but in the mean time, a video on this product page flashed the relevant page that I wanted to better understand. The donut shaped light indicator is more useful than most reviews have mentioned. It's "red" when it's hot. It fades to yellow and eventually to green indicating how "safe" this thing is to touch on the "wrong end." It's clear and nice. Mine shows I've got u13 but I don't know what that means exactly. Am I "up to date? How do I upgrade?" But generally speaking it seems really nice.

I'm going to toss my big black guns out.
I love, love , love this soldering tool. I have 2 200-260w Weller units that never seem to work. They are the big black gun type units that shut down all the time for no apparent reason. This smaller unit is very easy to work with and heats really fast. Much faster than the 200w units. It's a joy to use something that works right rather than trying to guess why the big units won't heat and changing and tightening tips and letting the gun cool and switching guns just trying to get some wire tinning done. Again this unit always works and I can change the heat level. Who knew? I'm so done with those big guns.

Works Great
Gets nice and hot. I love the on/off switch and the temperature control. I have only used the one tip that was already on it. The solder it comes with is also good enough for my needs. I'm just repairing around the house type stuff and toys for my child.

Works fine.... I really like the heat adjustment capability.

Works
I've used it and so far it works good. The element and tip heat quickly. It comes with several tips which is good because my current tips won't work unless I change the set screws. And, healthy amount of solder is a plus since I needed some. This is a very nice 'homeowner's' set for a good price.

Heat Transfer Poor Quality
The heat on the display may either be more incorrect than the deviation cited in their instruction pamphlet or the tip is simply not able to transfer enough heat to components of circuit boards you’re trying to solder. The tips seem to oxidize quickly despite tinning and after about 10 joints droplets will form that don’t want to stick to components no matter what temperature you adjust it to and/or crumble like a cold solder joint. I would not recommend buying this at all.
