Handy Desk-Top Solution for My Truck — Only Challenge: Storing It
I use this ElfAnt steering wheel/seat tray in my truck as a desktop for writing, my laptop, dining, drinks — pretty much everything. It makes working from the cab so much easier. The surface is stable enough for a laptop and the edges help keep items from sliding off while I’m parked. The only downside is storage when I’m done with it. Because it’s a bit large, finding a place to stow it neatly in the truck can be a challenge. But that’s a minor trade-off given how useful it is for work and on the go. Overall, this tray has been a practical add-on for my mobile workspace. Easy to use, effective, and if you can figure out where to store it when not in use, it’s a definite win.

Great product, works well
I was skeptical, but it actually does work. Plug in the problem cable and this bad boy cuts that buzzing out.

OK, but not for laptop. Hooks are textured and may dig into steering wheel.
I bought to use to work on my laptop in my vehicle, but it is way too flimsy, mounts too high, and is too close to me to use my laptop. It is fine as a dinner tray for use with drive-through food, and other light duty uses. I am going to keep it, but I will need to find another solution to use my laptop in my vehicle. The photos showed smooth hooks over the steering wheel, but they are textured and I am concerned that they may dig into my steering wheel padding over time, so I put a towel of my wheel. Other vendors of this same item showed the textured hooks, so I ordered this one thinking they would be smooth.

Finally a flat surface for your car
If you ever had to use a laptop or eat inside a car, you will notice that cars do not use to have a flat surface that can be used as a table. This product works like a charm. The hooks were a bit small for my wheel but it still held itself in place. Once you lock the hooks in place it becomes hard to remove them back, but for me that is just fine. It looks just fine for the car. It seems sturdy enough to have your food or a laptop on top. This is a must have item for your car, at least for me. 5 stars in my opinion. I find it very useful.

Not suitable for laptop typing
If you're needing a laptop car desk, move along. Product is flimsy. The two methods of hanging it (hooks for the wheel, headrest grips for the 2nd row seats), do not allow a flat surface at a height intended for anyone to actually use. The tray only goes flat at one height. Your wrists end up at a 70+ degree angle to type. Imagine trying to type when a laptop is on a shelf at neck level, while seated, and you get the idea. The slide out tray is extremely small; my mouse barely fits, and the indention for the cup holder makes it even smaller for usable space. Wiggle too hard and you're in the cup holder. I tried working this from both the drivers seat and the 2nd row with headrests, and it simply isn't useful.

it's what I thought it would be
it's much sturdier than the ones that hang off the bottom of the steering wheel. Those ones just fall right off BUT, and this isn't their fault ..it's a great idea... On Theory...but I rarely use it. A time of purchase I was doing a lot of estimates and writing in the car. Of course now I'm not doing so much. It's more of a pain to try to eat with it it could just be the shape of the Honda pilot that I have. if you need to use it to write for example estimates or look up things, it would be great for you, instead of leaning over to your center console this is definitely worth it but I've used it twice in a few months and I'm worried that the bottom piece that snaps out so you can fold it down flat is going to break after pry it out with a screwdriver and snap it back in so far so good though. thank you!
