Moniack Mead by The Lyme Bay Winery, 75 cl

I bought this to take away with me on a long weekend trip to Wales. My plan was to save it for Samhain night to drink next to a camp fire away from my girlfriends family, but it was so nice that I drank most of it before I even got there. It's made from honey so it's very sweet, but warming at the same time. It's a nice dark colour and not overly strong in alcohol content. It's great value for money. I bought another bottle.

Very tasty and has a nice mellow, strong taste of honey. Very nice to taste mead for the first time. Will definitely repurchase in the future.

After my original bottle was stolen by a Amazon delivery driver and I was fed a load of BS. Amazon head office made sure I got the replacement with a £5 compensation and no doubt questioned the driver who stole the original at least I hope so. Anyway! the mead itself has a beautiful and rich taste as it should have. And it is very very moreish. Close to 15% top quality Straight from the highlands. This is the kind of mead they drank in great halls It's what I get whilst I wait for my mead to finish fermenting and I'm way to impatient to go without This is my go to for shop Bought mead, I've had 2 and a half bottles one night never had a hangover from mead which is odd as I get crazy 2-3 day hangovers from hell from another alcoholic beverages The sap of Yggdrasil never curses you with hangovers I'm sure! :') Anyway highly recommend Give it a try!

Thinking about buying this mead? Stop thinking start buying. It's like swallowing bee juice. Tastes like 0% ABV. A great night was had. One guy came with a cold and left with a new lover.

It was OK, but I have had much better, especially for the price. Lacks crispness and liveliness. Unfortunately the best meads I've had were in Germany and haven't been able to find an equivalent.
