I had an issue with it about a month after I got it. Which of course was after the time frame of the return/replacement through Amazon. I contacted the manufacturer which was an easy process. They were quick in responding and were kind enough to replace my machine at no additional cost which was great. Definitely recommend this ice maker. It works great, love the app feature and being able to schedule when it’s on and off. It’s nice to know it’s not running all night wasting energy but I can get up and make my iced drink right away. It’s pretty quiet while it’s running, which is great since I work from home in the next room. Ice production is great and love there are 3 sizes to choose from. It doesn’t take up too much space on my counter. The only down side, is watching how much water you put in the reservoir when filling it. If it needs more and the maker is currently running don’t fill it to the fill line. You will end up with water overflowing. But other wise a great product and manufacturer.

We've had this machine for about a year. It's holding up pretty well. I use an ice machine cleaning agent on it once a month and it needs it every month! It seems to only make one size regardless of what size you choose which for us is fine. It is rather noisy when it's making ice, lots of loud clicks. I've actually had family over and ask what the noise is because you can hear it from a room away.

This was a gift and I love it! Makes the ice quickly. It's not terribly noisy during the day but I love that I can use the app and just turn it off when needed. Overall, it's been fantastic!

I priced out ice makers for a while before deciding on this one, and I am very happy with it. Not even had it a few hours and I've already filled the freezer with the perfect medium sized ice pellets. It has a high quality build to it, and cleaning the tray and wiping out the inside was super convenient. It's a little noisy for my taste, but I have a hearing sensitivity and others in my home feel it's totally fine. It won't nearly need to run all the time to satisfy a family of 4, it really is fast at producing the ice. Every 7 or so minutes on my unit with medium size selected. It's also smaller than we expected, making it the perfect portable unit if we wanted to have a family gathering with it. The smart features are great, especially since I already had the Govee app for other products I own. I like being able to check how much ice has been produced. Also, the tray pours out into my freezer very easily. And the taste of the ice is great with our fridge's filtered water.

This is my third ice machine purchase, although the first from this brand, and it is my favorite of the three I have used. It might be a couple dollars more, but it’s totally worth it. There’s even a magnet for the ice scoop to put it on the side of the machine. After it gets started, it produces ice relatively quickly and doesn’t require water refills constantly (like my other two did) even with frequent use. It might be a little noisy, I hear it clicking while in process, but I’m not taking review points off because it works really well. It’s worth spending the extra couple of bucks because you’ll be happier with the end product than you would with a cheapo ice machine.

The ice maker lives up to its promise of fast ice production and super easy setup. I had it running and making ice within minutes. The downside? It is louder then expected. The machine motor hums throughout operation, and each ice-making cycles begins with several loud beeps (once ice compartment is full). Beeps can be heard from upstairs (ice maker is downstairs). The machine allows you to choose between large, medium and small ice cubes, but honestly, there is not much noticeable difference between the sizes. At first, I used large setting, but because the ice compartment is small, I switched to the small size hoping to get more ice. it did not make much of a difference. The Ice compartment itself holds enough to fill about two 8-oz cups to the top, and since the ice is softer 'chewable' type, it melts fairly quickly once in your drink. One reviewer mentioned it is great for hosting parties, as ice is made quickly. I would have to disagree. With the small capacity of the ice compartment and how fast the ice melts, it struggles to keep up with more then 3-4 people at a time, if that. I have only used it indoors during the fall, but if you were outside by the pool or in warm weather, the ice melts even faster. In that setting, it probably would not keep up with more than 1-2 people. On the plus side, it is light weight and portable, so it is easy to move around wherever you need it. The ice compartment itself sits directly above the water reservoir, so as the ice melts it drips back into the water reservoir, and the machine keeps recycling. It works reliably if you want a steady supply of fresh ice, but if you are hoping to store a larger batch for later, this is not ideal. Overall: functional and quick, but louder than expected and less ice storage capacity than I would have hoped.

I was really torn between 4 and 5 stars. I’m giving it 5 stars with a benefit of the doubt. This is our first ice maker. I have friends who own them, but that really doesn’t give me enough to make a comparison. I’ve purchased Govee products before and have been pleased every time. I’ll start with the positives: - The wifi compatibility and app is awesome! I can turn this thing on from work to start making ice to have ready for when I get home. That is beyond convenient! - The ice is what you would expect for a small countertop ice maker. It’s not crystal clear, hard ice, but no countertop ice maker makes such ice. That being said, when I fill my insulated water bottle, I’ll still have ice 18 hours later. I always keep it on large size and that’s just perfect. - It is quiet for something that runs off refrigerant. It’s not dead silent by any means, but I’ve heard louder. I have it tucked in on the other side of my fridge and it doesn’t bother us out in the living room. - UGG! COLOURED LIGHTS GOOD! ME LOVE FLASHY COLOURED LIGHTS! In all seriousness, having fully programmable lights is a neat little addition. It even makes a little conversation piece at house parties. Now, for the minor issue. When we received this package the brand box was inside of another larger box. There was minimal damage to the exterior box, but when I removed the original box there was somehow more damage, and in a different location that the minimal damage on the exterior box. Sure enough, when I removed the ice maker from its original box… dents. There was a dent on the bottom by the ventilation and another up on the top on the back, left. I’ve included photos of these dents fresh out the box. It seems as if the original box sustained these damages before being put in the larger box for shipping. If I knew for sure this was the case, then it would have been a 4 or even a 3 star review. However, I can’t confirm when it sustained damage. It also works fine, and although it sucks paying the amount of the cost to receive a damaged product, I’m basing my stars off of the product itself. Not Amazon or the shipping company. Hence, 5 stars. All in all, love it! Worth every penny, especially if you already have Govee products and the app set up.

So so worth the money, I really love the fact you can hook it up with your phone so you can monitor when you need to go empty it/fill it with water, love that you can customize the colours, plus 3 ice size option is super great! Always wanted an ice maker since I never had the cool fridge that made ice this is just as great!!

I had a countertop ice maker that was working fine, but lacked self-cleaning mode. It was a pain to clean it and I was never too sure if it got cleaned good. So I switched to GoveeLife for two major reasons. Self-Cleaning mode and be able to schedule it so it doesn't produce ice in the middle of the night. I already have some Govee gadgets around the house so it was easy to add to the app I already have. For the other reviews that say it produces white ice cubes, it's because of the air in your tap water. If you use water from reverse osmosis (e.g. bottled water), it will produce solid clear ice cubes. I use water from a Brita jug and it's somewhere in the middle. You don't need the app to use the basic functions. Ice cube size, turn on/off, cleaning mode, etc. The major functions are available on the unit itself. However, you'll need the app to set the LED color, scheduling, do not disturb, etc. Speaking of "Do Not Disturb", it is a bit confusing. The manual tells you how to turn it on/off, but it doesn't tell you what it does! I don't find it noisy at all. There's just the standard hum of the compressor like a mini-bar fridge. Doesn't bother me one bit. 3 size of ice cubes to choose from, but I always pick the largest. I saw in other reviews that it produces 6 ice cubes instead of the advertised 9. What I observed is that for the first 2 rounds of ice, it will produce 6 ice cubes. They will be small as the unit is cooling down, but after that, it produces 9 ice cubes with each batch and the ice cubes will be of the proper size. So keep that in mind when turning it on from room temperature. When you receive it, make sure to leave it alone on the counter for a few hours to settle the refrigerant inside.
