Zip-up carpet protector has kept my new, very light color carpet looking brand new! After having new carpet installed, we needed to have some unplanned work done in our house. Workers were coming and going. But with Zip-up carpet protector my carpet still looks brand new. It worked so well, the adhesive kept the protector attached to the carpet, until I removed it. It was easy to install and easy to remove. Another thing that I really liked about this protector is that you don’t really know it’s there until you step on it. Even though it’s clear,it can withstand high heels, dog feet and liquid. I liked Zip-up so much that I bought a second roll. I’m having company with small children and their dogs, I have laid down the carpet protector, so no tears here! We can all enjoy ourselves and not worry about spills because nothing gets through this protector. Id give Zip-up 10 stars, but there is space for five.

I bought a roll of this product a couple of years ago to protect the carpet underneath of our reclining sofas. I was very happy with the quality and durability. We removed it after about a year when we moved, and it came off easily without leaving any residue. Used it again at the new house for the same purpose.I recently purchased a new roll to cover our 11x14 wool area rug in the family room while we house break our new puppy. We used up what was left on the old roll and covered the rest with the new one. The new roll is thinner and has far less adhesion to the rug, though it still works and will serve its purpose. The new roll also has a strong chemical smell that the old roll never had.It's always disappointing when they cheapen the quality of a good product. But over all it is a useful product and still works fine.

Love this product, I have put it down in areas that I don't kids ruining carpet. Easy to put down

Very thin and flimsy like saran/cling wrap with very little stickiness and catches on itself making it useless. It lightly sits on fabric and will fly off easily with a fan on or if something sticks onto it, if you can even get it off the roll and onto the surface to cover.

Out of all the plastic films, I have tried so far from Amazon for protecting carpet. This one is the best. It’s also the one with the least amount of coverage overall for the same price. I need two rolls to finish one room, whereas the other brands generally I can finish in one role or even possibly two rooms with one roll.Benefits:It is easier to get off the roll without it sticking to itself, which was a huge hassle with other brands.It actually has a fairly useful thickness that does not puncture super easily like with your finger fingers when you’re pushing itAfter 24 hours, it actually stays stuck to the floor and does not just come up.Does not shrink over time pulling from the edges. (this is another huge problem with some other brands.)It is fairly easy to cut because of its thicknessDisadvantages:Covers a very small areaWill pucker if something heavy is dragged over itExpensive compared to other brands (I guess you need to decide if you need quality or volume)Length of life and durability still TBDOverall, I have tried 3 different brands of carpet protector off Amazon and this far have been most impressed with this brand (wasn’t my first choice originally due to price but I’m on go #3 and this is the first time I’ve ever been willing to reorder the same product that’s works well).
