Great sustain
These were thicker than the plastic pins they replace (FG 830). I had to sand these down, rather than reaming the hole out to their size. Can tell a slight difference in sound but where these shine at is the sustain. I swear they doubled the sustain of the plastic ones

Makes a Taylor Big Baby sound Great!
I bought these to replace the plastic bridge pins on a 2004 Taylor Big Baby (USA made, sweet!) I bought used. Great guitar, a little bright, decent sustain. Very dirty strings...needed replacement ASAP! After having to pry out the low E pin and seeing how the others were also chewed up, I thought I would try a set of these jewels. They fit perfectly, look great, and now the guitar midrange is much better along with the sustain. I really wasn't expecting much of a sound difference, but was pleasantly surprised. I won't lie and say it now sounds like a 800 series Taylor, but I feel it added $200 of sound quality for modest price. Taylor could do the same thing and sell it for more.... but I'm glad they don't. This is an easy guitar hop-up. Try a set and see for yourself.

HUGE improvement over plastic. Never tried bone.
Replaced plastic bridge pins on a Seagull parlour guitar that came with Graph Tech saddle and nut. Hoped for a slight improvement, was amazed by the instantly recognizable improvement in clarity and sustain. Efficient, economical, beautiful upgrade.

Amazing
I switched out the stock plastic bridge pins, nut and saddle for Graphtech tusq and I was amazed at the difference. The pins look great, easy to install and no modifications needed. Put them on a Washburn HD71SCEG.

... my Taylor Big Baby and it immediately sounded significantly better. I was expecting some change
I put these in my Taylor Big Baby and it immediately sounded significantly better. I was expecting some change, but this went above and beyond. Definitely worth it for any guitar I like that has cheapo plastic pins. My only complaint would be the mold lines; but they're very hard to see once the pins are in the guitar, and probably easy to sand off.

Good replacement for Martin plastic bridge pins.
Bought a new Martin for over $2500 dollars and it came with plastic bridge pins! Normally Martins come with ebony pins, I bought these as a replacement. One they fit, two they add to the sustain a little.

Top notch bridge pins...
I'm a stickler for buying the best you can get. I use bone bridge pins on my acoustics that use white pins, but bone doesn't come in black. Tusq is a synthetic bone basically, so l use these for black pins. Very high quality
