Multi-tasking floating floor underlayment with built-in vapor barrier Quiet Walk underlayment improves a floor five ways: 1. Provides moisture protection 2. Increases R-value to help keep floors warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer It's constructed of 95% post-industrial recycled blended synthetic fibers along with a tough polyethylene vapor barrier. There is no odor and it does not off-gas any toxic fumes. Quiet Walk underlayment is suitable for use over all types of concrete or wood subfloors, including over radiant heat systems. NOTE:In geographic areas where concrete slabs are subject to excessive moisture, a calcium chloride test is required. Vapor emission readings in excess of 6 lbs. per 1,000 square feet in 24 hours will require additional protections such as a concrete sealant or poly-ethylene sheeting.
