On my 16ft John boat

I bought these for someone elderly and not in great shape. I never got to put them on his boat. But a friend bought the exact same ones. They work awesome on his 14 foot aluminum Jon boat. Way stronger than I thought it would be. Built out of good stuff. Very nice. I sent the two I bought back. But only because I had no use for tbem. The elderly person got worse. But they are high quality, good stuff!! And easy to use.

I added this to my 13-foot fishing boat and use a 15-pound river anchor. And I installed a second up-down switch at the helm. Nice to have an electric in place of the hand crank I had before. Works well overall, but would have liked it better if the anchor did a free fall on the way down. It winds down at the same speed that it winds up, so it is taking longer to set the anchor now. But glad to have it and I am using the anchor a lot more now when I fish.

I hope this unit works as well on the water as it did in dry storage test. Was easy to use the bolt hole plate in boring the holes. The anchor lined perfect with the holes I had drilled. Small foot print. Recommends adding reinforcements under the deck, I used product called unistrut angle iron. Don't be afraid to wire up the remote, It is really plug and play. I had to go to local auto supply and get some connectors I didn't have.Guys this thing will save your back. I sure recommend.

Great product thus far. I had to be creative with mounting on my Jon boat for where I wanted it. I added a safety chain so it doesn't auto deploy on its own. I doesn't deploy a 10 lb anchor very good so I upgraded to a 15 lb mushroom anchor and deployment is not a problem. Up, down, auto deploy works great. I'm happy with it.
