This is a nice laptop. You need to ignore any software that comes with it, like the antivirus. You can switch the PC to local instead of using OneDrive. I intend to uninstall OneDrive altogether; it is a nuisance. This laptop is fast, and it has plenty of storage. The battery is inside the computer - not removable. The keyboard is important, it is suitable for touch-typing. I decided to get a third-party backup app - the Microsoft one is still rubbish. I couldn't restore the backup from my old computer. I had to take the SSD out and plug it into my new PC.

likely got hardware issues after 4 month without travelling with this laptop (simply leaving this laptop on a table) - failed to detect battery after 4 months - the system became very very slow; it roughly dropped to 20~30% of the original performance basing local 1000G network bandwidth test

Excellent value, super fast. This machine has a high spec so its future proof, well at least for next 5 years.

It's a decent laptop, fairly fast, easy to set up, and connects to a modem first time. Screen is good, clear and with some punch colourwise. Keys are fairly tactile, they feel 'live' with movement. Though I found the slip pad overly sensitive, not enough to put one off using it but enough that it makes you go a bit slower than normal. Downside, only one at this price point, not enough USB ports.

Faulty product, unhelpful seller, finally got refunded by Amazon almost 2 months later. Will not be using them again

It seemed to work ok for 4 months but has now broken down, fault showing hard drive not installed! Contacting Dell is a total nightmare, phoned them 11.11.25, he got me to test a couple of things, said he will call me back on 12.11.25 @ 2pm. 12.11.25 no call, I phoned them at 3pm, guy cut me off, who knows why? Phoned them again, spent 1hr 15mins on call switching laptop off/on/press button this/that etc. Could I take the back off Laptop and see if hard drive is ‘seated’ ok? I mean - really? Technician to come to house within 2 business days. Contacting Dell is difficult, call centre in India so understanding what’s being said is difficult from both sides, I’m Scottish. On any of the calls, the line was not great which just adds to the difficulty. Hopefully it will be repaired, only 4 months old. I shouldn’t think I will be buying another Dell in the future. Yes, things can go wrong but I expected more from Dell with a laptop only 4 months old. One disappointed customer! Update 1 Dec 2025. Dell sent technician (21.11.25) but Dell had ordered the wrong parts. Guy phoned them whilst at my house, they said this laptop spec is incorrect (I showed him spec and my receipt) and should have 15GB RAM and 512GB hard-drive, they would also not re-install Windows 11 Pro, said it should be Windows 11 Home. It came with 1TB, 32GB RAM and Windows 11 Pro but Dell are saying that someone has changed the spec, I have no idea about anything like that. Amazon are still selling this laptop and have 6 in stock. I will not be purchasing another Dell as their customer service is appalling. Have returned it to Amazon for a full refund. Dell are still contacting me saying repair has been successfully completed. No it hasn't but still they persist.

Solid hardware 32GB RAM, i7, 1TB SSD (rare combo for the price). Checked everything. A clean, legit system no shady refurb tricks, no missing parts. Full 1-year Dell warranty starting from your actual purchase date. Had to contact Dell to restart the warranty from purchase date. A system that can handle multitasking and doesn’t feel slow. Yeah, the listing was vague because I got an Inspirion 15 3520 but everything is in order.

Fix the description. It was a crapshoot of what I was gonna get
