There are only 2 screens. The sides roll up and are held by a loop. I like this one for my cockatiel. The smaller ones she breaks her tail feathers. I bring her to my friends in this carrier. She's a jumpy bird and startled she jumps and tries to fly but her wings are clipped. it's safer to put her in this when I take her with me. She's calmer.

I bought two of these back in January and they’re both not usable now. I have two conures that hate each other so they can’t be in the same carrier. But there are holes now in the plastic and the mesh where they chewed through. I really wanted to like it but it just isn’t going to work. I do see they have a backpack with wire mesh, I might check it out but I’m already down $40/ for these and now I don’t have a carrier for the trip we’re going on soon. I can’t risk losing my birds :( I still gave three stars because the design itself is nice and if it only was more durable I would be so happy
