Perfect for monstera and pothos!
I used this mix to repot my aroids which include a monstera Thai constellation, monstera Adansonii and several types of pothos. This mix is very chunky, the chunkiest I’ve ever seen and worked with. It will not compact, even when wet, so any excess water will quickly drain. Give the bag a little shake/mix first to evenly distribute the different ingredients. As of this review it’s been a week since my plants were repotted. They didn’t experience any problems. No transplant shock, wilting, yellowing or browning. Instead they’re standing tall and releasing leaves that I thought weren’t going to make it (been having root rot problems prior to the repot). They look really happy and they’re thriving!Personally, I like that this mix doesn’t contain a lot of perlite. I dislike the appearance, how it yellows over time and its tendency to float to the top when wet. That just defeats the purpose of providing aeration to soil. So besides being chunky and gentle on my plants, this mix is aesthetically pleasing. The price may be a dealbreaker for some folks and technically you could make this mix yourself, but I live in a small space with limited storage, so having one little bag of mix is enough for me.

So far so good
My plants have been doing well in this aroid mix. I have been hesitant going soilless but so far so good! I like how chunky it is and how it retains moisture. There have been bits and pieces of big pieces in the bag but I was able to break or un-clump them apart to fit in the plant pots. This is definitely on the pricer side, but I'd rather pay the price than try and sit to make my own planter mix. Convenient to just order a bag of premade mix and pull from there. It's only been a few weeks and nothing has died so far. I think the mix is pretty equal in terms of the ingredients in there. I do plan to give it more time and see how my plants will do but so far I can't complain.

My picky, over-sensitive Alocacia loves it!
My tropical plants love it, so it’s worth the money. The size is a bit small considering how expensive it is but it truly is worth spending the extra $$ because it’s such a good quality product, and being so chunky it goes a long way. I haven’t had any issues with fungus gnats, or any other pests. It’s definitely more on the chunky side, so I add a little moss to help hold moisture, and for my peperomia I mixed in some of my normal potting soil with it as well and it’s been popping out new growth like crazy since making the change! Overall I’m pretty happy with the purchase.

Chunky!
I prefer this mix for my aroids over the actual aroid mix. Super chunky and well balanced with different substrates. I wouldn’t use this mix for anthuriums, in my experience they need a little more moisture retention.

Great substrate
I like Molly's, but it is expensive. A good mix for most house plants.

Perfect chunky Soil
Although it’s a little pricey, this product is beyond worth it! I was able to replant about 13 plants, and the chunky mix is great for all plants. Ever since I repotted, I have so much new growth! Beyond satisfied

Wow!! Love this soil!!
I’ve always used Miracle grow and saw this soil and wanted to try something different due to I’ve purchased a couple picky plants and knew I should use a special soil. So far, They seem to be doing wonderful and I’ve noticed the difference in growth with this soil. I’m a big fan and will buy again.

Happy Plants
I started repotting my arroids with this mix and it is amazing! I noticed more foliage growing, roots are healthy, my plants are happier than ever. It is indeed well draining and causes no compaction. I find it a little dry though, so I mix it with 1 part soil from miracle gro tropicals to at least keep some moisture and not leave my arroids dry in between waterings. Despite that, I’ll still give it a 5.

Great potting medium!
All of my 25-30 houseplants are now in mollys mix.Great great potting medium. Dries well, have had no issues with pests. It is slightly expensive but if you mix with some soil and perlite for certain plants you can stretch this out. Will definitely re-purchase this when needed.I have been recommending this to everyone.

Wonderful stuff
Just wonderful mix. It has no smell; certainly nothing offensive. It drains effectively, looks terrific and is much easier to repot with than Miracle-Gro although I am not in way dissing Miracle-Gro. It's also good stuff and much less expensive than the aroid mix. If I want to spoil a plant, especially a longtime companion or a particularly picky tropical, then I'd spring for Molly's aroid mix.

Upgrading my cacti and succulent game
**Not sponsored or sent for free via Vine. Purchased 3 times on my own**This is my transition into gritty potting media for my cacti and succulent babies, which is so much healthier for them since it provides ample drainage and air flow. All I did was fill up my pots to the desired height, then put the plant inside while holding it upright, then filling around it. The drainage is phenomenal! I never have to worry about overwatering again. My desert rose and Madagascar palm are living their best lives; I truly haven't seen them so happy in the 5 years I've owned them. My echeveria and lithops are also thriving. The only ones that are iffy right now are my blue and silver torch cacti, which haven't shown any new growth in the 3.5 months when I started using this product, but I dug up the roots last week to see what's going on and all seems well; the roots are fuzzy which means they are super happy with the abundance of nutrients and air flow. So maybe they're just dormant? Never heard of a cactus being dormant in summer but whatever.Anyhow, everything seems cool thus far. Yes, this is much more expensive than your standard Miracle Gro soil from Home Depot, but if you're serious about giving your plants the best life you can, then switch to gritty mix. I don't even feel the urge to fertilize them because it seems like it already contains tons of nutritious and beneficial ingredients. One thing I will say is you might need to water more often! As I mentioned, the drainage is phenomenal, so it dries out super fast. I find that my succulents have been asking for more water actually! Oh and last thing: the bags seem to be inconsistent. My first one had mostly rocks, which is great, but the second one had a lot of dirt/soil-like material. Jordan from Very Plants confirmed that it is not soil but rather a different substrate that contains beneficial nutrients, but he understood that for consistency's sake all the bags should be standardized. My third bag seems to be middle-of-the-road: not as much rocks as the first, but not as much substrate as the second. It's fine though, no complaints.
