Skylight Calendar Pen Review – A Handy Little Add-On
Skylight Calendar Pen Review – A Handy Little Add-OnWe’ve been using the Skylight Calendar Pen with our digital calendar setup, and it’s a surprisingly helpful tool—especially in a busy household like ours. It might seem like a small thing, but when you’re juggling therapy sessions, appointments, and daily routines for a neurodivergent child, every bit of clarity counts. What works well:• Quick Notes on the Fly: It’s perfect for writing quick reminders or notes directly on the calendar screen. Great for adding things that don’t need to be scheduled in the app but still need to be seen (like “pack meds” or “Kaleigh’s favorite shirt for sensory day”).• Easy to Use: It writes clearly, erases easily, and doesn’t smudge or leave residue.• Great for Visual Learners: Kaleigh benefits from seeing both the digital schedule and handwritten prompts or stickers we add with the pen—double reinforcement. What could be better:• It’s a little easy to misplace since it’s small and doesn’t attach to the calendar. A magnetic holder or clip would be amazing.• I wish it came in more colors for visual cueing—especially for kids who respond to color-coded systems.Overall:It’s not essential to use the Skylight Pen with the calendar—but it definitely enhances it. Especially for households that need flexible, fast visual communication, it’s worth picking up. Simple, effective, and adds another layer of support for our daily routine.

Good
I think I ordered the wrong one for my skylight. It's difficult to use with it because it has a plastic in the bottom that prevents me writing with it. Maybe I just don't know how to use it.

Inconsistent performance
I was really hopeful about this stylus pen, but unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations. While it works some of the time, the performance is inconsistent enough that I often find myself putting it aside and just using my fingers instead. The main issue is with touch registration—there are frequent moments when the stylus simply doesn’t respond. Whether I’m trying to tap or navigate through apps, there’s a noticeable delay or complete lack of response. It’s frustrating, especially when I’m trying to be precise or move quickly through tasks. The stylus feels decent in the hand and looks nice—lightweight and easy to grip—but comfort alone can’t make up for unreliable performance. When a stylus is meant to increase accuracy and convenience, but ends up slowing you down, it defeats the purpose.Overall it’s not worth it.

Meh
Doesn’t really work for my skylight but I use it for my iPad and phone so that’s why it gets 2 stars

Does not work on the calendar with the screen protector on it
The pen is very nicely made but it does not work. Even with pressing hard it is not recognized by the calendar. I still have to use my finger.
