Maybelline Gel Eye Liner - Brown

This is the best eyeliner I've ever used ! It glides on smooth and silky with the fantastic little brush and stays put all day long. This blue is a much brighter , royal blue, compared to what it looks like in the pot and image on here, but it looks lovely on. It looks fiddly to use , but is even more easier to use than an ordinary liquid eyeliner that I've used for years, I'll never go back! Also have it in brown and hope to have all the other colours in my makeup bag very soon !

The liner was bad and dry and it was not worth doing it.

I must say I haven't had to chance to test it properly in all circumstances but from what I've experienced so far it's great. The golden sparkles from its composition gives it a very subtle glow, that's why is very appropiate for the night make-ups, although can be used during the day also. It doesn't smudge at all and once applied stays for the whole day. What can I say, I'm a devoted fan of the Maybelline products! Personally I would have wished a silver version also because I'm more into silvery shades than golden, but for those who love gold too it's a perfect choice.

I sometimes suffer from dry eyes which means my eyes water a lot, so I was searching for an eyeliner that stays put. I adore purple so was keen on this right away. The price on this little pot was excellent, so I thought I would give it a try. Like others, I found it slightly mixed. The product is in a very small screw top glass jar, but a little is all you need for an application. I loved the brush that comes with it, meaning for me the purchase was great if only for a brush I love. The gel liner is easy to load on the brush and the small tip of the brush makes it very easy to deliver the liner exactly where you want it. The handle is a good length and so far I've lost no bristles at all. The colour is a gorgeous vibrant dark purple and the colour stays true when you put it into your eyelid. Perhaps a very light colour would blend in and make it look lighter, but applying a small amount more would ensure the deep colour shows through. I found the product went on well and did not drag as I applied it. It also lasted well during a full day at work, another big plus as reapplication is not necessary. The reason I have dropped a star is because the top of the product is starting to dry out and clump as I load up the brush. I now need to dig a bit deeper to get fresh gel, although once I get to the 'good stuff' it still works as well as ever. It doesn't seem to smudge at all, as long as you allow maybe 30 seconds for the product to set properly. Overalls, I like this very much. If the price were much higher I would say the small size and apparent drying out would make it less attractive. But I paid a shade under £3 which for me represents a really good product and a bit of a downside I can easily live with. And did I say how good the colour is?? (Purple is great with green eyes!) Recommended.

Would have liked this if it was new stock but it was very dry and only lasted me around 6 weeks, colour lovely, dark so not too bright but made my eyes look better than harsh black, stayed put all day. Wish this colour was still manufactured but cannot seem to find new stock anywhere, this price reflects what it is and I got what I paid for.

I must say I was sceptical about the brand but is the best eyeliner I ever had. Ita very hard to find brown gel eyeliner but this was is amazing, waterproof and easy to use, even the brush is good. The pot last long time. I will deffo repurchase.

Beautiful texture. As others have said, the brush is not great quality, so use another. I bought one from Bodycare and fond it to be much better than this one. Lasts all day. Rather bright, but if applied carefully, it looks dramatic and makes a nice change from the brown I usually wear. Nb. Gel eyeliners are a MUST for anyone over forty!!

The quality is terrible. This is not a gel, it is a solid paste and impossible to apply. Save your money and buy something else.
