This probiotic is designed to help repair your gut, even if it is in total disarray. Each addition to the ingredients is formulated to aid gut health. The butyrate is what smells like wonky cheese. I’ve tried each of these ingredients from other brands with minimal results. My only conclusion is that ON has come up with a phenomenal combination of gut health ingredients and each one is a very high quality version, as per usual for this brand. I have some weird allergic issues, slow gut motility, brain fog and fatigue that I’ve been working through since I lived in an apartment where the AC was infested with mold and the apartment manager would not properly remediate it. Initially, these pills were extremely daunting — I would get a very bad histamine response after taking them. I could only take them once a week, usually on a Friday night so I could recover over the weekend. However, I noticed, unlike other probiotics, they were the only ones making my condition genuinely better where I could eat more foods, feel less fatigued, had slightly better motility after using them. The Saccromyces boulardii does most of the leg work. It is extremely good for outcompeting pathogenic microbes (bacteria, fungus) and any kind of microbe overgrowth. The butyrate and lactoferrin help further normalize the gut environment and support positive changes. If you have slow gut motility, the only downside is these may temporarily increase that before it gets better, due to the saccromyces boulardii. What I did when I was at my worst to tolerate these was an allergy pill, binder capsule around the same time of taking them, a little bit of aspirin, and magnesium citrate. I don’t know if that will be helpful to anyone else, but it is worthwhile to note in case someone is in a similar boat to me. Almost all other probiotics just caused more harm. I truly believe this combination of ingredients is the safest, most effective way of targeting microbiome issues and disruption.

The smell on the other hand, well, it's not great. But I grin and bear it while I chug water to get it down. Sometimes healthy stuff doesn't smell like cotton candy, and that's ok. I feel like the health benefits outweigh the funk factor. The capsules are designed to survive the journey to the intestines, which is great because some other probiotics can't make it past the stomach. This is a high-quality probiotic made in the USA. I like to add it to my vitamin mix each day to help combat the effects of the modern American diet.

This product contains dairy. I know it has that listed, but I thought I'd mention that in case you are used to the other Objective Nutrients products that do not. I am allergic to dairy, but only in my esophagus. I think I should be okay with these because it should pass the stomach before it breaks up. Not that you should try it if you have a more severe or different type of allergy. I would prefer if he came out with a dairy free option instead. I buy hundreds of dollars of supplements from ON so I had to give these a try when I saw them. Elliot's channel has really helped me with the high dose TTFD. I also bought the book from Dr. Lonsdale. I have taken butyrate previously and didn't notice a huge difference. However my gi has been a bit messed up lately, so perhaps it was helping and I didn't realize.
