My membrane has a rubber o ring on both sides will this still work which side should I put the intake

This particular Filmtex SW30 2540 membrane has one rubber o-ring at one end. This o- ring has to go on the upstream side of its housing unit.

What is the gph rating? what is the pressure required for this membrane? does it need a casing?
