I bought the Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies, fully aware that there was a 97% chance the tin would not contain cookies at all, but instead a sewing kit from 1984. Imagine my shock when I opened it and—plot twist—actual cookies were inside. Fresh ones. With butter. I had to sit down. Each cookie tastes like it was handcrafted by a tiny, polite Scandinavian elf who whispers “hygge” as he places it in the tin. They’re buttery, crisp, and just sweet enough to make you feel fancy without requiring a monocle. And the tin—oh, the tin. Sturdy enough to survive a fall from orbit. Beautiful enough to store your deepest secrets. Large enough to hold every sewing needle you will ever lose. Buying these cookies is basically investing in long‑term household infrastructure. If you’re looking for a dependable treat for gatherings, gifting, or just indulging with a cup of coffee, this tin is a guaranteed crowd‑pleaser. A classic for a reason.

These cookies have the same excellent quality that they had years ago! Arrived in good condition, none of my cookies are broken.Worth every penny. I just wish the tin was the size they used to be but shrink inflation is a sign of the times.!

So tasty! Who here grew up with their mothers or grandmothers having a butter cookie tin repurposed as a sewing kit and more? Memories of the sugar crystal sprinkled kind in the box being my favorite flooded my head. Those were my first choice and hotly fought for between me and my brothers. They are crisp and crumbly enough to not make a huge mess but still give great texture. It kind of melts in your mouth a little. Great with milk, of course. Perfect for gifting during the holidays.

So I really like these cookies. They taste good they are somehow both soft with a satisfyingly crunchiness of sweet buttery goodness. To be clear, they are probably a cut above your standard store brand butter cookie. Other quality brand butter cookies are on par or with these flavor wise. To be clear where these really shine is in their presentation. The come in a metal tin platter, that's not plastic if you are unfamiliar with the brand though it does not seem to be as thick as it used to be. Also just like pasta even though they are all made of the same stuff the shape matters. I love the little pretzels with the sugar crystals that look like salt. I love the little spiral spiky ones too. If you are hosting a gathering and want to make a good impression these just exude luxury. They feel like indulging in something special, a rare treat reserved for special occasions. I mean I want you to picture hosting an event. On one hand you have this variety of different shaped cookies which is visually appealing. They are served in a real metal serving tin in an age of cheap plastic everything. Each type of cookie is neatly organized by shape into their own little paper cups like they were manufactured and handled with care displaying each type for your guests to chose from. Now imagine and compare that to a torn open paper bag of cookies left on the table . Taste and quality aside one makes a much better impression. While not anything to do with the brand I also want to warn you that ordering these through Amazon may not be the best choice. I ordered two tins and both came with a notable number of broken cookies which I'm guessing is from shipping. Again when your paying this much for cookies largely because of their presentation factor showing up with broken cookies is a bit of a let down.

These are a wonderful Christmas tradition. The cookies were tasty and fresh, I would have given them a five star but unfortunately the top two -three layers of cookies were shattered to pieces. If I had purchased these as a present or for a party, I would have returned them and requested a refund, but since they were just for general enjoyment I figured I could just let it go.

I absolutely LOVE the Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies! They have such a sweet buttery flavor and they practically melt in your mouth. These cookies are not overly sweet, but they sure satisfy a sweet tooth. They are never broken in the tin and they're not crumbly. They are not dry, and have the right amount of sugar sprinkled on top so they're not overly sweet. Also they are packed well. When you open the tin pretty tin and see the cute shapes - you just can't wait to bite into one!♥

We love these at our house! We buy them for ourselves and for parties and for house presents. They have an attractive tin which can sit on the table.. Also glad that they haven’t risen in price has u uüi high

I have always enjoyed these cookies. And this was a very good price. I ordered two tins becasue it was cheaper than one 24oz tin. However, I wish I could review the shipping and packing of these cookies. I would give them a -1 star. They were not packed for shipping at all. They were in a box that was too big for the tins and the tins were allowed to roll around in the box. No paper or buble wrap, nothing. Which means the cookies inside were broken. I was very unhappy with the shipping preparation.
