This unit was fairly easy to assemble and get set up to use. I've never used one before, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I used it for about an hour so far and it was comfortable and fairly lightweight. The screen is easy to read. So far I found some nails and a stake in my yard. This is a fun way to spend time outside and enjoy the weather.

It works okay but lacks precision and a bit flimsy

The stem piece that attaches to the handle wouldn’t go in all the way, and the buckle on the handle was loose and wouldn’t lock. I reached out to the merchant and am waiting for a response. I’ll update this review if/when I get one.

Brand new and was already broken... It didn't detect any metal... Or even gold or coins.... Nothing... It was a good idea but if a metal detector doesn't detect anything then it's not a good product. Also the main screen where it mounts to the pole was broke too. Was very disappointed.

Always wanted one of these and it is fun to use. My kids hit the ground under the bleachers at the high school on Saturday mornings after Friday night football games. It has nearly paid for itself. The quality is great and it was easy to assemble and easy to use. Short learning curve and great instructions.

Is this a top of the line top detector? No. Is this good for someone that wants to try out metal detecting without breaking the bank? Yup. Its fairly cheaply made and the not super accurate but it does work. I just wanted something to try out to see if I enjoyed it. Fun to do when you are board at the beach.
