Don’t fool yourself - it’s a $20 (or less) chain. This isn’t super high quality Italian sterling silver. Having said that, it’s a pretty decent chain if you just want something cheap. It’s not super shiny, but it’s shiny enough, and it’s got pretty good weight to it. Also the clasp is awesome! I haven’t worn a chain in probably 20 years and wanted something to try out and get the length dialed in - and this chain is perfect for that exercise. No idea how it’ll fair over time but I’ll likely upgrade to something higher quality before too long anyway. If you’re looking for an authentic 925 Italian sterling necklace- this isn’t it. If you are in the market for an inexpensive chain and you aren’t concerned with the quality level of the silver this is an excellent choice.

I ordered this Cuban chain in 30” length. I like the idea of the stainless steel material because of the strength, wearability and no tarnish. However, I’m almost always disappointed in the gold color. This piece is like most others, it looks tarnished and not bright like gold/silver. Apparently that is typical of this process and meant to be. Polishing never helps. I really like everything else about this necklace. It is well made and a statement piece in size. I just wish it was shiny. Sadly, I can’t afford that gold standard.

When it comes to this Bandmax Men's Stainless Steel Chain Necklace, if you like your necklace to make a visual bling statement, this will do that but it isn't going to fool anyone into thinking it is gold. I will be watching to see how long the gold color lasts and update my review accordingly. If you prefer subtlety in your man jewelry this will not be for you. It is as expected as far as being a value. It itself is the main attraction rather than something you might put on it.
